After all, what is WrestleMania without a surprise or two, right? Therefore, in this article, we shall attempt to list down the names of all the superstars that may show up and how they can make a difference on the grandest stage.
Without further ado, here are 5 worthy contenders.
#5 Sting
There's a rumour that recently emerged that The Undertaker and John Cena may not actually have a match at WrestleMania 34. Instead, they will have some sort of a segment together. If such is the case, there's no reason yet another dream encounter may not actually happen. One between Sting and The Undertaker.
This is something WWE fans have wanted for a lot many years. Sting had a gimmick during the Attitude Era that sort of mirrored the one played by The Undertaker. This would be a WrestleMania moment for the ages.
Sting had to retire from the ring owing to injuries that he sustained through the course of his career. This may be the perfect segment to book him in, considering that he probably wouldn't have to wrestle an entire match, this way!
#4 Shawn Michaels
Shawn Michaels was responsible for many great WrestleMania moments. Perhaps the greatest in-ring performer of all time, Michaels always brought his A-Game to the ring and like fine wine, only seemed to get better with time. Michaels could play a wide variety of roles at WrestleMania 34. We will list a few of them for your benefit.
He could always show up in the Andre The Giant Memorial Battle Royal and win the whole thing. He could always show up as Braun Strowman's tag team partner. He could also just be part of a segment and put a younger superstar over, such as Elias.
Whatever the role may be, Michaels has the charisma to steal the show. Little wonder that he was known as 'The Show Stopper' for the entirety of his prosperous career.
#3 Jeff Jarrett
We had caught up with Elias on the road to WrestleMania 34. He informed us that he would be performing at WrestleMania, not as a wrestler but most likely as a musician. No musical segment goes off without a hitch in WWE, really. In all likelihood, it will be interrupted by another man who used a guitar as his gimmick and indeed, his weapon of mass destruction.
Which fan wouldn't pop at the sight of these two guitar wielding warriors facing each other in the middle of the ring, and maybe having a sing-off? Much like Sting and Shawn Michaels, Jarrett is already in New Orleans for all the WrestleMania weekend festivities.
#2 Trish Stratus
Because of all the controversy surrounding the formerly named Fabulous Moolah Battle Royal, WWE may want to bring in some big names so as to erase the negative association. Well, it does not get any bigger than Trish Stratus. We saw how well she can go during the Women's Royal Rumble, and we're certain she can do absolutely great at WrestleMania.
Remember how the crowd popped when Stratus and Sasha Banks teed off during the Royal Rumble match? There's a chance to recreate the same magic one more time as well. Maybe the two women can have a full-fledged match down the road, too?
Stratus is the cornerstone of the WWE Women's Division and it would not be strange to see her in attendance at the Battle Royal. Maybe she could also put some female superstar over, by having her eliminate Stratus.
#1 Goldberg
Goldberg was the headliner for the WWE Hall of Fame ceremony this year. He is still in great physical shape and is, in all likelihood, not retired. Could he make a surprise appearance this year at WrestleMania? The crowd would pop for a spear and a few Jackhammers!
He could be the one interrupting Elias' segment. He could even be Braun Strowman's partner for a spell. He could even compete in and win the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal.
There are so many possibilities this year at WrestleMania. So many names could show up!
