#1 Tag Team wrestling has never been WWE's prime focus

One of the most delightful interviews I've done through the course of my stint here in Sportskeeda was with Scott Dawson back when he was one-half of the RAW Tag Team Champions, in a global teleconference. It was clear from our conversation that there's nobody more passionate about the art of tag team wrestling like Dash and Dawson.

When I brought up the fact that Nicholas and Braun Strowman had won the RAW Tag Team Championships at WrestleMania, Dawson seemed hurt:

"What were my thoughts about that? Oh man. Probably the same thoughts that you had and everyone else had. I'd say it was a slap in the face. That was one of the things where I had to swallow my pride a little bit and Dash and I have talked about it; that's one of the things that adds to the chip on our shoulder."

It was clear through the course of our conversation and everything else I've seen on social media before and since our chat, that Dash and Dawson are two extremely passionate men and WWE wasn't really the right fit for two such artists.

But AEW or anywhere else they may choose to go is a brand new canvas that they can potentially paint upon.
