#3. Big E wins the Royal Rumble after losing to Brock Lesnar?
Brock Lesnar pinned WWE Champion Big E to take the title from him. He has ended the world title reigns of two New Day members now, and Big E could only enjoy a title reign of three months.
It was an interesting choice as the company could have easily had Lesnar pin Seth Rollins or Kevin Owens if they wanted to protect Bobby Lashley. Big E's first WWE title reign will likely be viewed as an underwhelming one, as the promotion could have done better to present him as a legitimate champion.
He wasn't made to look good in his title reign, but that only confirms the general sentiment that WWE knows how to book heels far better than babyfaces in the modern era.
However, Big E losing the title doesn't necessarily mean that he can't win it again, or that there aren't any big plans for him. WWE intentionally split him from The New Day in the 2020 Draft and kept them on separate brands later in 2021 despite their brief reunion on RAW.
Big E could now become one of the favorites to win the Royal Rumble, where he too, can be a legitimate challenger to Roman Reigns if handled right.
