5 Male WWE Superstars who could enter the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble match

There are several current and former WWE stars who could enter the Women's Royal Rumble match

The WWE Women's Royal Rumble match has become an annual affair over the past few years after originally making its debut back in 2018. In that time, just one male superstar was able to be added to the match, but he came up short in his attempt to overcome the impressive odds.

By contrast, there have been four women in the Men's Royal Rumble match over the years. Chyna, Beth Phoenix, Kharma, and Nia Jax, all managed to eliminate at least one man from the match before being eliminated themselves a few seconds later.

Nia Jax is the only woman in history to appear in both Royal Rumble matches in one night. This was a feat that she achieved back in 2019 after being unsuccessful in the women's match, earlier on the same night.

Now that there are two Royal Rumble matches in one night, the company has the option of adding women to the men's Royal Rumble match and men to the women's Royal Rumble match. Interestingly, there are several options for WWE this year when it comes to men who could be part of the Women's Royal Rumble.

#5. Former WWE star James Ellsworth

James Ellsworth has never been a part of the Women's Royal Rumble even though the former star has wrestled in several intergender matches throughout his career. Whilst working alongside Carmella, Ellsworth became quite the villain in the WWE Women's Division. He helped The Princess of Staten Island to win both the Money in the Bank Contract and the SmackDown Women's Championship.

Ellsworth hasn't been seen on WWE TV for several years, but now that Carmella has a new sidekick, this could be the perfect time for the star to make his reappearance and change the current dynamic. After all, Ellsworth already has some history with the likes of Becky Lynch and Asuka.

The Women's Royal Rumble match would be a place where the former star could thrive. Ellsworth would definitely be an interesting addition to the 30-women field, where it would allow many women to get some much-needed revenge against him following his brief stint in the company a few years ago.

At present, Ellsworth is part of GTS Wrestling. He doesn't appear to be under contract with any other company, which means that the former star could be open to making an appearance if the opportunity is presented to him.

#4. Former WWE Champion Randy Orton

Over the past few weeks, former WWE Champion Randy Orton has had some major issues with The Fiend and Alexa Bliss. Orton was able to vanquish The Fiend back at TLC: Tables, Ladders, and Chairs in December. But The Viper has been unable to do the same with Bray Wyatt's friend, Alexa Bliss.

The former Women's Champion has been a thorn in his side since The Fiend was set alight. Bliss most recently threw a fireball in his face on Monday Night RAW. Whilst Orton wouldn't be seen as an official entrant in the Women's Royal Rumble, at present, he is someone who has reason to enter and at least cost Alexa Bliss the chance of victory.

If The Fiend doesn't return in time for The Royal Rumble pay-per-view, then The Viper has already declared his place in the Men's Royal Rumble match. If Bliss attempts to cost the former World Champion a chance to be part of WrestleMania, then it's likely that he will return the favor.

The Legend Killer has been known to assault female wrestlers in WWE in the past such as Stephanie McMahon, and most recently Beth Phoenix being on the receiving end of his anger. Alexa Bliss could be next on his list if The Fiend isn't able to return to the company in time.

#3. Current WWE star Reginald, the sommelier

Former WWE SmackDown Women's Champion Carmella has found herself a new sidekick over the past few months in Reginald, who initially debuted as a glorified waiter to help her with champagne. In recent weeks, Reginald has been able to show off his athleticism as part of Carmella's feud with Sasha Banks. The sommelier was recently challenged to a one-on-one match by The Boss.

Carmella seemed happy to allow Reginald to step in the ring with Sasha Banks if it meant that she could be handed a WWE SmackDown Women's Championship match in the future.

It is currently unknown as to whether or not Carmella will be given this shot at The Royal Rumble or if The Untouchable Star will instead be added to the Women's Royal Rumble match.

If Carmella is in the Women's Royal Rumble, then Reginald could also be added to the field in order to help the star to gain a greater advantage. The sommelier has shown that he has some in-ring talent over the past few weeks, so it would be interesting to see what he could do inside a Royal Rumble match.

#2. Current WWE SmackDown star Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn hasn't had a lot of luck in a WWE ring over the past few months. After losing his Intercontinental Championship to Big E a few weeks ago, Zayn was defeated by Apollo Crews this week on SmackDown.

Zayn has been hinting about a conspiracy within the company surrounding him in recent weeks and he seems to be pushing forward with this claim. Since the former Champion can't find any kind of success in the ring with the male stars of WWE, it would be interesting to see if he enters the Women's Royal Rumble instead.

Zayn is slowly sinking lower down the level on SmackDown despite being a former Champion, and he can't seem to catch a break. Zayn definitely wouldn't be able to come out on top in the Men's Royal Rumble match, which means that being entered into the women's version of the same match could be his only choice.

The current storyline involving Zayn has become an interesting part of SmackDown and it will be entertaining to see where this story goes next.

#1. Current WWE 24/7 Champion R-Truth

R-Truth has become the comedy relief on WWE TV in recent years and there was even a time when the current 24/7 Champion entered the Royal Rumble match with a ladder.

R-Truth may be the current 24/7 Champion, but that doesn't mean that the company doesn't have some big plans for him at The Royal Rumble. In the past, Truth has put on several disguises in order to get away from stars who are looking to take his Championship. So he could dress up as a woman one more time in order to enter the Women's Royal Rumble match.

R-Truth's addition to the match could be the comedy relief that the show needs with all the women looking to fight for what could be their only chance to become the next Women's Champion.

At present, Truth is the most likely of all the men on the WWE roster to enter the Women's Royal Rumble. The record-making 24/7 Champion could be the most entertaining addition to the match if he is able to pull it off correctly.
