Sable made her debut for WWE at WrestleMania XII where she escorted Triple H to the ring for his match against Ultimate Warrior. This event saw her first major angle come to life involving her real-life husband "Wildman" Marc Mero, who was also making his debut. Mero attacked Triple H backstage after he saw him mistreating Sable and picked her as his own manager.

Sable and Mero were married in 1994 before the two made their debut in 1996. However, Mero was injured soon after and Sable went on to become much more famous on her own which led to a jealousy angle upon his return in 1998.

She was released from her contract in 1999 along with Mero but she returned to the company in 2003. Soon after that she got into a rivalry with Stephanie McMahon and began a romantic angle with Vince McMahon. At the time of the storyline, Sable was still married to Mero in real-life even though he did not return to WWE.

The angle was more than just bizarre, and that along with Sable’s continuous appearances for the Playboy Magazine led to Sable and Mero separating in mid-2003 and later divorcing in 2004. Sable would then go on to marry Brock Lesnar in 2006.
