5 matches for Daniel Bryan for WrestleMania 35

These
These matches need to happen soon

After three years since his last match, Daniel Bryan has finally been cleared by WWE medical officials to wrestle again.

Bryan was one of the biggest faces of the company when he was forced to retire from active wrestling in 2016.

So, when Bryan announced his return on the March 20th episode of Smackdown, the elation from the crowd was surreal.

The reaction of the fans showed the love and support from the WWE Universe had not dwindled even a bit for the wrestler, since his retirement.

Bryan looks set to step inside the ring at this year’s WrestleMania and judging from the storyline that has been taking place on Smackdown, he is likely to partner Shane McMahon against Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn.

Considering, Bryan is back for good he is sure to be back as a full-time WWE wrestler.

This makes it possible for many dream matches and feuds that WWE fans have longed to see.

All dream matches should take place on the grandest stage of them all, and there is no event greater than WrestleMania.

So, here are the possible opponents for Daniel Bryan for WrestleMania 35.

#5 Johnny Gargano

Underdog vs Underdog
The match between Gargano and Bryan will be exceptional

Johnny Gargano is the Bryan of NXT. He is the pure underdog, and the fans like to get behind him.

If WWE decide to bring Gargano to the main roster, there will not be a better opponent for him at WrestleMania than Bryan. It will be an exceptional match, considering the potential the both of them possess, and the things they can do in the ring.

Both of them have the same charisma and can engage the crowd making them care for what they are doing inside the ring.

They both are talented immensely and have very similar wrestling styles. If they are given enough time, they can make a five-star match happen.

It will be exciting to watch the two slog it out in the ring,

while the fans try to decide who they want to cheer for. If built correctly this can be one of the best face vs face encounter in WrestleMania history.

#4 Shinsuke Nakamura

<p>
The match between the two is a dream main-event for WrestleMania 35

Nakamura vs Bryan has been one of the dream matches for many wrestling fans for a long time.

But with Bryan retiring before Nakamura could make his début in the main roster, this dream match felt like it could never be realised.

But with WWE finally clearing Bryan to compete inside the ring, this match has never looked more possible.

Nakamura is one of the best wrestlers in the world, at the moment. He is good in-ring technician and his charisma is second to none.

The match between the two has never happened, even when Bryan was wrestling in the independent circuit.

So, one can just imagine the headlines it would create when WWE announce the match.

If WWE decide to go for a Nakamura vs Bryan route, there is no bigger stage than WrestleMania 35.

A World Championship bout between the two of them is truly a dream main-event for WrestleMania.

#3 The Miz

Yes! VS It!
This is a match that has been in the making since 2016

In the past two years, this story has written itself.

When the Miz was a part of Smackdown’s roster, he and Bryan always seemed to have a problem with each other.

Their rivalry took a new turn when the Miz, in an episode of ‘Talking Smack’, blamed Bryan for injuring himself and leaving the fans.

After that, Miz started to use Bryan’s signature moves during his matches. He even changed their names and gave them his own.

Although the Miz is not a great in-ring competitor, he has got excellent mic skills, and no one can sell a feud like he can.

This match has been in the making since 2016, and WrestleMania will the finest stage to culminate this feud.

Add a career versus title or career versus career stipulation to this match, and then you have a classic storytelling match.

#2 Roman Reigns

Roman tapping out would be a WrestleMania moment
Roman tapping out would be a WrestleMania moment

When Bryan retired in 2016, Roman Reigns cemented himself as the chosen one for the WWE.

WWE wanted Reigns to be the top face of the company, and they booked him accordingly. He won the Royal Rumble in 2015, beat the Undertaker at WrestleMania, and is about to main-event his fourth WrestleMania in a row.

But Reigns was not Bryan. He could not garner the support of the majority of the fans.

So, pitting Reigns against Bryan at WrestleMania 35 would be excellent. The Big Dog would be the overly pushed face, and Bryan would be the returning crowd favourite.

This could also be the rematch of their Fastlane 2015, encounter. But unlike Fastlane 2015, Bryan has to go over on this occasion.

It would be cool if WWE booked Reigns as a heel for this feud.

WWE could book the Big Dog as the guy who got his place taken by the returning Bryan, and is hell-bent on destroying Bryan, ultimately leading to their match at WrestleMania.

But it is unlikely for that to happen; a Reigns heel-turn would be more shocking than Bryan’s return.

#1 AJ Styles

A dream match for any wrestling fan

AJ Styles can be considered one of the best wrestlers of all time. He has amazing in-ring skills; a healthy balance between athleticism and power moves and sells very well.

A match between Styles and Bryan would be one of the top money-making matches WWE can book today.

Bryan, though he was well-renowned in the independent scene, his work in WWE is what transformed him to be one of the best.

So, we can have the person who made his name inside the WWE versus the man who made his name through other promotions.

WWE can have Bryan win the 2019 Royal Rumble and challenge Styles for the Championship gold.

The Phenomenal One can either be heel or face; he has the ability to work both.

Bryan and Styles have clashed three-times one-on-one while Bryan was working in the independent scene, and all of their matches have been excellent.

Over the years, both have improved even more, and allowing them to slog it out one more time would be the best thing WWE can do.

This match is equivalent to the Sting VS The Undertaker match, which fans never got to witness.
