#4 Kane wins the WWE Championship from Stone Cold Steve Austin
Kane was only a year in when he defeated Stone Cold Steve Austin at King of the Ring to capture the WWE Championship.
The Big Red Machine and the Rattlesnake clashed in a first blood match. The odds were stacked against Austin as only Kane's arm was exposed due to his full body suit and mask.
The match itself was a wild brawl that involved the Hell in a Cell, interference from both Mankind and The Undertaker and, ultimately, Austin covered in blood.
Kane looked great with the title over his shoulder. He arguably should have kept it much longer than WWE allowed. Kane would only hold the title for one day, losing it back to Austin the following night on RAW.
Despite the one-day title reign, it was an excellent achievement for the character and the man who played him. It showed that the company held Kane in high regard and planned to use him at the top of the roster moving forward.
