#3. WWE Mistake: That red light

Following The Fiend's WWE in-ring debut back at SummerSlam last year, it appeared that something was missing. WWE then decided that the character needed to be so unique that when he wrestled he would have his own lighting effect.

So for the next few months, The Fiend would have a red light for all of his matches and he was undefeated whenever he was under that light. Interestingly, fans believed that it was the light that held his power before it was then taken away.

At The Royal Rumble earlier this year, the company took away the red light and it appeared that this wasn't his strength after all, since he was still able to come out on top against The Miz following an intense feud.

There were a lot of WWE fans who didn't enjoy the red light and argued on social media that it was affecting the way that they watched the match. This could be the main reason why WWE decided that the light should go and The Fiend has since been able to wrestle without.

If The Fiend never needed the light and it was never a main part of his power, then why did WWE add it, and then why remove it without any kind of explanation?
