Which WWE Superstars could return before WrestleMania 35?

This weeks episode of WWE SmackDown saw two huge returns. Kevin Owens made his comeback and was named as Daniel Bryan's challenger at WWE Fastlane by none other than Mr. McMahon himself.

Matt Hardy also returned to SmackDown and teamed up with his brother Jeff to face The Bar.

Things are heating up in the WWE as we edge closer to WrestleMania. Which other WWE Superstars could return before WrestleMania 35? Let's take a look.

#5. Luke Harper

Luke Harper has been unlucky in his WWE career. Untimely injuries have hampered his spot in the often. This happened once again last year when Erick Rowan got injured forcing the Bludgeon Brothers to drop their WWE SmackDown Tag-Team Championships.

Harper himself later got injured in November. He picked up a wrist injury during a match and was later spotted wearing a cast in a photo on social media. As far as we know, Luke Harper is fit to compete once again but it looks like WWE don't have any plans for him as of now. This could still change before WrestleMania season.

#4. Lars Sullivan

The case of Lars Sullivan is probably the most interesting on this list because it is unlike the Superstars who are injured or kept off because of injuries or creative reasons. In Lars Sullivan's case, he was reportedly set for a massive debut program against none other than John Cena but reportedly was overcome by nerves and had a nervous breakdown backstage.

WWE then sent Lars Sullivan home so that he could rest and take as much time needed to recover. In Lars' case it's a little trickier as to when he will return to the WWE because, in his take, WWE has to make sure he is in the right place mentally before he returns.

#3. Fandango

One half of the Fashion Police, Fandango has been out injured since July 2018. Fandango picked up a shoulder injury and had to undergo a major shoulder surgery which at the time, was presumed to keep him out for around six months.

If you do that math, you'll see Fandango is scheduled to return soon and the question is whether WWE will him back before or after Mania. Since 'Dango isn't a featured star, I could see them bringing him back before Mania.

#2. Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt

Bray Wyatt is another WWE Superstar who hasn't been on television for a while. As far as we know this is not because of an injury but a creative decision.

In an interview with Sportskeeda, Matt Hardy had the following to say about Wyatt's absence:

I think Bray needed a little time off. He'd had a car accident. So, I think it was just a little bit of time off for everyone. So, I think you'll see an evolution of Bray Wyatt and an evolution of Matt Hardy.

Now, the only question is regarding when WWE has Wyatt make a return - before or after WrestleMania.

#1. Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn
Sami Zayn

Sami Zayn has been out injured since undergoing surgery in June 2018. Zayn was wrestling hurt before he had to undergo surgery for two torn rotator cuffs.

Before his injury, the former NXT Champion was a pair along with Kevin Owens who himself had to undergo surgery on his knees soon after Zayn. Owens recently returned to WWE in this week's episode of SmackDown and replaced Kofi Kingston in the WWE Championship match at WWE Fastlane and the decision was made by Mr. McMahon himself.

With WrestleMania less than six weeks away, it could soon be Zayn's turn to finally make his return to the WWE. We don't yet know which brand Sami Zayn will return to although it could be best to keep Zayn and Owens separate for the time being seeing that they had a good run together before both went down injured.
