Over the past few weeks, fans have been made aware of the rebirth of Matt Hardy with a character he made popular in Impact Wrestling. While some may not fully grasp the characters true meaning there is something that should be said about Hardy's willingness to go outside the box and provide fans with a number of amusing and at times bizarre promos. He was known for his arm gesture while stating DELETE or stating that he lives within a VESSEL or that he would render his opposition OBSOLETE.
His success should also be noted that the character doesn't walk alone but is surrounded by his Brother, Nero, his wife Queen Rebecca, son King Maxel and his father-in-law Senor Benjamin. Each of these characters helps to send a message to fans using various means including their drone Vanguard1's twitter account.
Will the WWE decide to go in these different directions and allow Hardy continued freedom to express himself? We can only wait and see what will ultimately result in him. Here are five outrageous booking decisions for Woken Matt Hardy.
#5 Have him face his V1 itself
The creation of the Woken Matt Hardy character emerged after a loss in the WWE to Bray Wyatt. His slow brooding persona was developing in the corner with little rhyme or reason as it to why it was coming about in the first place. The following week fans were enlightened to see that this persona had been ‘woken' as it rested within the vessel known as Matthew Hardy. What followed were cackles by Hardy and exchange with Bray Wyatt.
One idea that may be explored with Hardy was to have him flash in and out of consciousness and have him feud with a previous persona that evolved when he first became a singles competitor in the WWE. As Matt Hardy version 1, fans became aware that this character was the one that mattered. That all that existed before he came out prior to this didn't matter and this was the one that means the most. Could a rivalry work with himself? It is certainly a possible booking
#4 Battle Bray Wyatt with video airing through Vanguard 1
Fans have seen the creation of the Hardy and Wyatt feud and how it has aired has shown that they are going to take their rivalry in different directions. One idea that has yet to be yet be explored is how their matches or altercations would appear to the viewing audience. The standard as it remains today is that fans will see the typical viewing of a battle within or around the ring with typical cameras.
One of the unique qualities of the Broken Matt character in TNA would be the use of a drone to record and send messages to his adversaries. The drone has become so popular is that has its own name and has its own twitter handle as vanguard1. Much like a person sent off to do a task such as pursue someone and frustrate them, Vanguard1 would send messages to Hardy's foes by getting into their heads and continuing to create turmoil between them. To have Vanguard1 remerge would as a notable character once again.
#3 Reby Hardy disguises as ‘Sister Abigail' to aid the ‘Woken' one.
One character in the Hardy kingdom that has emerged in the past as being crucial in Hardy's development has been his wife Reby Hardy who is known as Queen Rebecca, often playing the role of caregiver to their son Maxel. Reby isn't shy to share what she thinks of a situation and will not hold back with her disdain either often putting those that attempt to stand in the way of her families success on notice of their actions.
A unique idea would be to take a character or symbol of Wyatt's family that has meant so much to Bray is Sister Abigail. As many may recall the symbol of Sister Abigail was burnt to the ground during a previous feud. However, to have Reby Hardy emerge as Sister Abigail for the only reason but to mess with Wyatt's head. This would all be in an effort to have Hardy emerge the victor in their feud with one another. It would certainly be something the writers may want to play with during their feud.
#2 House of Horrors match begins at the Wyatt family compound and moves to the Broken estate
For fans of the Broken Matt Hardy character from when it originated in Impact Wrestling will be familiar with its origins, setting, and inception. They will also recall how the character's home is something is just as much a part of the character as anything else. With that said, fans will recall how the Wyatt family compound once took place in a tag match against the New Day and a house of horrors match took place also where Wyatt would call home against Randy Orton. What if their feud would have the booking of both environments taking place.
While a great deal of production may go into it taking place it could lend itself to some rather interesting outtakes from where they could compete. Whether it's in the dark or now burnt Wyatt family compound or the vast and secluded Hardy estate, fans could see some things that they may not have either anticipated or expected to see used as their rivalry could become very personal. We aren't sure how audiences viewing it may feel but the creativity of it alone will manage to spark curiosity.
#1 A Family Feud?
Since Bray Wyatt was sent back to Monday Night Raw as part of the Superstar Shakeup he has been missing significant back up in his time back with this particular brand. Although Braun Strowman has emerged a strong singles competitor, Wyatt arrived in the WWE flagged by Luke Harper and Erick Rowan as well.
Each man stood by Wyatt providing him a sense of assurance as they all walked with him and helped spread his word along the way. Harper and Rowan are now being used on Smackdown Live as the tag team the Bludgen Brothers providing challengers with absolute destruction.
They are two men that are sure to capture championships at some point while with one another. However, Wyatt and Hardy would benefit if other family members were a part of this feud as well. Jeff Hardy was Brother Nero during his time in Impact Wrestling and could easily join the fight along with the addition of previous Wyatt family members being a part of this feud would certainly add a different element to their rivalry.
