We've seen quite often tag teams turn into bitter rivals and the vice-versa. These types of things happen sometimes in the pro-wrestling business.

The decision of breaking or bringing them together has benefited many superstars over the due course of time. A good example of this would be The Shield.

In the case of The Shield, both things have happened. Their tag team was broken when Seth Rollins turned his back on Roman Reigns and Dean Ambrose. And Now they are back together and stronger than ever after being booked as rivals.

This decision of breaking up this team was right all along as it pushed all three members as singles competitors.

Though we've seen less bitter rivals turns into a tag-team, it happens.

A few examples of this are The Undertaker and Stone Cold Steve Austin, Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt, Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit, and many many more.

So, today in the feature let's take a look at those pair of tag teams who were once thirsty for each other's blood before turning into a tag team.

#5 Sheamus and Cesaro

The Bar is a tag-team which was brought together by the former general manager of Raw, Mick Foley. He turned Sheamus (Heel) and Cesaro (babyface) into a tag team after their heated rivalry.

In the draft of 2016, both men were drafted to Raw. As the two men were the last televised picks of Raw, they soon started their feud.

Both men were seen interfering in each other matches, due to which Mick Foley announced a Best of Seven Series. Sheamus won first three matches of the series and Cesaro the next three, leaving their series tied at 6-6.

In the final match of this series, the match was ruled a no contest and there was no clear winner. Foley promised that the winner would get a title opportunity in future, so he paired them up as The Bar and gave them a shot at the Raw tag team titles instead of a single title opportunity.

After a few matches for the titles, both men finally defeated then-Raw team champions, The New Day, breaking their record setting 483 day reign at Roadblock.

#4 Daniel Bryan and Kane

In May of 2012, Daniel Bryan and Kane were fighting against each other in a feud. After a couple of matches, the two men were brought together by then general manager, AJ Lee.

In the process of pairing up, Kane turned face but still, he had some anger issues, just the same as Bryan. Due to these issues, AJ forced them to attend the anger management classes hosted by Dr. Shelby.

Soon the two men became fan favorites and went on to win the tag team titles at the Night of Champions 2016.

They had a pretty great reign of 245 days as the tag team champions. Almost after a year of their unique pairing, the two men separated, as both men wanted to become World Champions.

#3 Matt Hardy and MVP

Matt Hardy and Montel Vontavious Porter (MVP) were bitter rivals before they became tag-team champions. It all started back in 2007 when both men were performing on Smackdown. At that time MVP was the U.S Champion

On an episode of SmackDown, Matt defeated MVP in a non-title match. This victory of Hardy over Porter started a feud between them. Hardy received an opportunity at the U.S Title but sadly he lost that bout.

Soon, MVP started bragging that he was better than Hardy at everything. These words led to a basketball match, Arm-wrestling, beer drinking, and a couple of other matches between the two superstars.

Due to all of these events MVP became so confident that he told then-SmackDown general manager Teddy Long in his office that he could win the WWE Tag-Team Championships with the person who walked in next through the door.

Unfortunately for MVP, the person was Hardy. After this Teddy put them together as a tag-team and booked them to face the WWE Tag-Team Champions Deuce 'n Domino.

There both men defeated Deuce 'n Domino to win the championships. but both men lost the titles just after 77 days of winning it. After this, a rivalry was started between Hardy and MVP for the U.S title.

#2 The Rock and Mankind

In 1990, The Rock and Mankind formed a tag team named The Rock 'n' Sock Connection. Though this tag team was short-lived, it became fan favorite soon after its formation.

Their rivalry began back in Survivor Series (1998). From there The Rock (Heel) and Mankind (Babyface) feuded over the WWF Championship for nearly a year.

Perhaps the most memorable moment of their rivalry was when Foley defeated The Rock for the WWF Championship on an episode of Raw. It was Mick's first world title. After this, both men fought each other for a few times before ending their heated rivalry on an episode of Raw with a ladder match.

Soon, The Rock challenged The Undertaker and Big Show for the WWE Tag Team Champions after both men attacked him.

As it was a 2-on-1 handicap match, The Rock was seen as helpless. But then, Mick Foley marched down to the ring and asked Rock to form an allegiance, which he accepted promptly.

Later, both men defeated Undertaker and Big Show for the championships. Both men started to work as a team but their alliance broke up just two months later.

After this, The Rock reunited with Mankind a few times as The Rock 'n' Sock Connection.

#1 Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt

This storyline is arguably one of the best storylines in SmackDown Live history, with Bray Wyatt and Randy Orton featured as a team. That time the blue brand was on fire as they were defeating Raw in terms of storytelling.

Randy Orton and Bray Wyatt's rivalry initially started following SummerSlam (2016). Bray challenged Orton for a match at Backlash which he accepted without any hesitation.

After this, Bray Wyatt was seen getting inside Orton's head, as he was defeating Orton in every bout. Due to the mind games of Wyatt, Orton aligned himself with the leader of the Wyatt Family.

Soon, the two superstars won the SmackDown Live tag team championships together defeating the team of Heath Slater and Rhyno.

But their run as a team didn't last long as just before WrestleMania 33, Orton betrayed Wyatt after he burnt down his house and the grave of Sister Abigail.

The two men faced off against each other in a match at WrestleMania in which Orton emerged victorious, defeating Wyatt for the WWE Championship. Finally their rivalry ended after a few matches.
