What does Becky Lynch's injury mean for Ronda Rousey and The WWE?

Why god why!?

WWE pulled off one of the most entertaining main events in its company's history on Raw Monday Night and it had fans white hot for Sunday's Survivor Series pay per view. Unfortunately for those that were looking forward to the champion versus Champion match between Becky Lynch and Ronda Rousey, it now appears it won't be happening.

According to Fightful.com, two sources are claiming that Becky Lynch is suffering from a concussion after the brawl on Monday Night Raw and is thus being pulled from Survivor Series as a result. Whether that ends up happening or not remains to be seen, but it is at least going around that she is injured.

With that being said, who is going to be affected the most by the decision to pull Lynch from the match at Survivor Series and what will it mean for their respective careers going forward? As always, let us know your thoughts in the comments below and also be sure to tell us if you think Becky Lynch versus Ronda Rousey will happen or not.

#5 The WWE Universe

The WWE Universe is not happy about Becky Lynch's injury on Monday Night Raw.

Let's be honest here

Becky Lynch versus Ronda Rousey was one of the biggest matches WWE had going for it heading into Survivor Series and while there will be other contests to enjoy at the big four pay per view, nothing will compare to what could have been. In fact, Rousey versus Lynch was not a match that could have stole the show, it also could have been the main event as well.

Unfortunately for The WWE Universe, its not even known whether WWE will ever go back to this feud in the future or not, which means that fans may never get to see this rematch. With that being said, it's not impossible for WWE to revisit this feud later on, but with the current company landscape, it doesn't seem very likely.

#4 WWE

What will be WWE's next move now that Becky Lynch is injured?
What will be WWE's next move now that Becky Lynch is injured?

WWE seems to keep facing setback after setback and while this probably isn't as big as Roman Reigns taking a hiatus after announcing he had leukaemia, Lynch getting pulled from Survivor Serie is a huge loss for WWE. It is also something that could have negative effects on the company moving forward.

Not only is that evident by the fact that the company had to replace Lynch with Charlotte Flair, who was supposedly set to face Ronda Rousey at WrestleMania 35, but also by what this could mean for The Smackdown Live Women's title going forward. If nothing else, Lynch's injury brings The Women's division to a grinding halt and forces changes to major storylines

Of course, none of this means that WWE can't rebound from this, it just means that the company has a lot of obstacles in its way to before it gets back on level ground. Beyond that, WWE also has to decide whether they want to stick with Lynch as champion or not, which could be a very controversial decision given how over she is right now.

#3 Becky Lynch

Will WWE stick with Becky Lynch as champion after her injury?
Will WWE stick with Becky Lynch as champion after her injury?

While Becky Lynch's injury on Raw probably isn't going to affect her run as Smackdown Live women's champion, it does arguably the biggest match of her career off of the table. Not only that but it also completely destroys the white-hot momentum she had going into the Survivor Series match and what she accomplished during the invasion

Think about it! By taking out Ronda Rousey with an armbar and being busted open during a chaotic invasion, Becky Lynch proved to everyone that she is an absolute badass. Beyond that, she also shattered a lot of barriers for women in the process, which she unfortunately won't get to capitalize on until after she returns from injury.

With that being said, who even knows if WWE is going to stick with Becky Lynch anyway after the injury or just move on to someone more reliable. Of course some might see that as ridiculous, especially with what Lynch has accomplished in her short time as a heel, but its not like WWE hasn't done something like that before after an injury.

#2 Nia Jax

Should Niaj Jax be punished for what she did to Becky Lynch?
Should Niaj Jax be punished for what she did to Becky Lynch?

Its no secret that Becky Lynch was one of the biggest things The WWE had going for it heading into Survivor Series and the company can't be too happy about all that build being taken away in one fell swoop. Furthermore, they probably aren't very happy with Nia Jax either, who injured Lynch with a punch to the face.

Becky Lynch was busted open by the punch and was later pulled from The Survivor Series pay per view due to a black eye and a severe concussion. Unfortunately for Nia Jax, this incident comes only a month after she won the number one contender's battle Royal at Evolution, which was supposed to set her up for a title shot against Ronda Rousey.

With that being said and Jax accidentally injuring one of WWE's top talents at the time, it seems at least possible that the company chooses to punish her for what happened. In the end, maybe WWE will ultimately look the other way on this one, but in doing so, they will have to trust her enough to put her up against arguably their other biggest star.

#1 Charlotte Flair

Let's be honest here. There is no way that Charlotte Flair beats Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series.
Let's be honest here. There is no way that Charlotte Flair beats Ronda Rousey at Survivor Series.

What was WWE thinking here?

Sure, Charlotte Flair versus Ronda Rousey gives The WWE Universe one of the dream matches they have been wanting for quite a while, but it seemingly does so at Flair's expense. Not only is that evident by the lack of build put into this match due to the injury, but also by the fact that Rousey will most likely come out the winner.

With that in mind and Flair already taking a huge loss to Becky Lynch at last month's Evolution pay per view, one has to wonder if Flair can afford to take another one even if its against someone like Rousey. In fact, with how solidly WWE has booked Rousey over the course of her run with the company, its likely that Flair gets absolutely brutalized.

In the end, that's not good for someone that's supposed to be one of the biggest stars on the entire Smackdown Live roster and it's only going to hurt her momentum even more if Rousey wins, having Rousey versus Flair now pretty much kills any chance of it main eventing WrestleMania 35, which was believed to be the original plan.
