5 possible feuds for Rusev on the road to WrestleMania 36

#3 Erick Rowan

A monster looking for a prey

Whatever shortcomings Rusev has had over the past couple of months, everyone can agree upon the fact that Rusev is a beloved face and every heel he works with will get heat, no matter what. And guess what, Erick Rowan is someone who needs heat and he hasn't been involved in a meaningful feud for a while. So, why not pit him and his ever-present cage against Rusev?

It would be one hell of a mid-card feud to watch. Surely, one can't miss two absolute specimens against each other in a big bout (preferably a Steel Cage Match).

#2 Aleister Black

The Dutchman is looking for a break
The Dutchman is looking for a break

Aleister Black has been on an incredible winning run since he moved to RAW last year, but, again, those wins have done nothing with regards to building his character and momentum as they haven't come against big-name Superstars.

He's only had one meaningful feud against Buddy Murphy and while the latter has moved on to bigger things (became the RAW Tag Team Champion), Black's upward trajectory has been halted. So, why not give him a feud from which he can benefit?

Rusev and Black can put on absolute classics anytime they face each other and almost everyone would be love seeing these two come up against each other.

#1 A shot at the United States Champion

Why not?
Why not?

Andrade (currently suspended) is the United States Champion and he is a heel, which is everything one needs in order to put Rusev in contention for the United States title. The Bulgarian Brute had an incredible run with the United States Championship some years ago and there's no reason for him to not get a shot at it again.

We could possibly see another multi-man United States Championship match at WrestleMania 36 and Rusev has to be one them. If that doesn't happen, then Vince McMahon must think about giving The Bulgarian Brute a one-on-one opportunity before April.
