#2 Multi-man match for the WWE Championship
Heading into Extreme Rules, Samoa Joe lost all seven previous matches in which he had challenged for the Universal Championship (vs. Brock Lesnar) or WWE Championship (vs. AJ Styles and Daniel Bryan).
Look who just shut down all of Tony Khan's critics! More HERE.
After that abysmal record continued against WWE champion Kofi Kingston on Sunday, it seems unlikely that “The Samoan Submission Machine” will be granted another one-on-one shot at SmackDown Live’s top title at this year's SummerSlam.
There is a chance that he could remain in the title picture, of course, just like he did in 2017 with the Universal Championship when he lost against Brock Lesnar in the main event of Great Balls of Fire.
However, with so many Superstars waiting for their chance as singles competitors on the blue brand (Ali, Andrade, Daniel Bryan, Kevin Owens, Randy Orton, Sheamus etc), a multi-man WWE Championship match would be a lot more appealing.
