5 possible outcomes for the Six-Pack Challenge at Fastlane

Fastlane, WWE,
Who will walk out Fastlane with The WWE title?

The Six-Pack Challenge for the WWE title is only days away, and while many in the WWE Universe are hoping that AJ Styles will be able to come away with the belt around his waist, the odds are certainly stacked against him on the road to WrestleMania.

In fact, AJ Styles will have to overcome Baron Corbin, Dolph Ziggler, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn and John Cena in order to make the dream match between himself and Shinsuke Nakamura a reality. With that being said and the coveted dream match hanging in the balance, here are five possible outcomes for the Six-Pack Challenge at Fastlane.

#5 Baron Corbin wins

Baron Corbin,
What would a win for Baron Corbin mean for The WWE title picture?

Let's start with the least likely option first and that is without a doubt, Baron Corbin. While Corbin has had some success in WWE early on in his career, his alleged attitude problem backstage hasn't exactly endeared him to officials and leaves him with very little chance of actually walking out with the title around his waist.

Of course, WWE could pull off the swerve of the century and change all that by having him win SmackDown Live's top prize at Fastlane, but that would also ruin the dream match between Shinsuke Nakamura and Aj Styles at WrestleMania 34. In fact, it could sour fans on WrestleMania 34 completely if they go with this option.

With that being said, having Corbin win the match wouldn't be that difficult, especially since it could actually set up a pretty great match for WrestleMania 34. In fact, Corbin winning the title could be a great way to add him to the main event match at WrestleMania and help build the story in the process.

Think about it! Shinsuke Nakamura versus AJ Styles is a great match on its own, but it's going to suffer from a lack of depth if WWE isn't able to add a villain to the mix. While WWE could fill this role with just about any of the other competitors in this match, Baron Corbin remains the most intriguing of them all.

In the end, a win by Baron Corbin allows for AJ Styles to use his rematch clause to face Corbin and Nakamura at WrestleMania 34 and would add an extra excitement to the match. WWE could also allow Corbin to take the final fall in The WrestleMania title match, which allows for Nakamura to win the title but also make Styles look strong in defeat.

#4 Dolph Ziggler

Dolph Ziggler,
Dolph Ziggler could play spoiler to the biggest dream match of all time!

Another long shot scenario, this one would probably only work if WWE were able to take the title off of The Showoff leading up to WrestleMania 34. Having Ziggler walk out of Fastlane would be great for a shock factor and could leave an air of unpredictably along the way, but only if WWE somehow gets back to the dream match between Nakamura and Styles.

What also hints at the Dolph Ziggler scenario is his newly signed contract with the company, which could result in him getting one more run with The WWE title to make him happy. Of course, that run should be short-lived and eventually move back to the dream match, but it would still be a great swerve to see none the less.

#3 Kevin Owens/Sami Zayn

Fastlane, Kevin Owens, Sami Zayn,
Kevin Owens and Sami Zayn remain huge threats to AJ Styles on Sunday.

The reason that these two are grouped together is due to the fact that the outcome would possibly be the same and would somehow include the other in the title match at Wrestlemania 34 somehow. How WWE chooses to put that all together is up to them, but there is an extra element to this that could make the main event even more intriguing.

While most fans are intrigued at the possible dream match between Nakamura and Styles, adding Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn to the mix, even in a fatal four-way scenario, opens up the possibility of Shane McMahon and Daniel Bryan being inserted into the title storyline and raises the stakes as well.

In fact, if Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn were somehow able to come out on top, which is at least possible due to the fact that Zayn betrayed his best friend to win the Fatal five-way match on Smackdown Live , it would be a great way to continue the tension between them and Shane McMahon and could even lead to some kind of screw job scenario at Mania.

Not only that, it also puts Owens and Zayn's deteriorating friendship in the spotlight and could lead to an interesting addition to their storied rivalry. Again, not as great as a one on one match between Styles and Nakamura, which is being heralded as the dream match of a lifetime, but it would be interesting in other ways that fans just aren't open to right now.

In the end, it would be interesting to see how their frinedlhsip ultimatley implodes during a title match at the biggest stage of them all and could even lead to one of them betraying each other and allowing Nakamura or Styles to walk out of WrestleMania 34 with The WWE Championship around their waist

Maybe WWE could even have Shane McMahon put his GM role on the line if Kevin Owens or Sami Zayn were somehow able to come out on top of Shinsuke Nakamura and AJ Styles at WrestleMania, which would add the perfect extra wrinkle to the match and up the ante for fans as well.

#2 John Cena wins

John Cena, Fastlane,
What impact will John Cena have on the title picture?

Some fans might see this as the ultimate doomsday scenario, especially since it simultaneously put the dream match at WrestleMania in jeopardy and allows Cena to break Flair's record in the process, but it is arguably the best move WWE could make and would add a huge level excitement to the match at WrestleMania 34.

Again, the match between Styles and Nakamura is lacking a bad guy and who better to fill that role this big match John himself. Not only will fans absolutely lose their mind at the thought of WWE's golden boy possibly coming out of WrestleMania with the title around his wasit, it also keeps his fans invested in the main event, which is a great thing for WWE.

With that being said, Cena winning the title only to drop it to Nakamura after a intense Triple Threat match at WrestleMania 34 would be the ultimate torchbearer moment for WWE and might even set up Nakamura for one of the most lengthy reigns in the history of The WWE.

In the end, Cena winning at Fastlane isn't the doomsday scenario everyone is making it out to be and could make the supposed dream match between Styles and Nakamura even better then it was before. Of course some fans aren't going to like it for the simple fact that Cena is is in it, but with his career resume, why wouldn't he be?

#1 AJ Styles wins

Aj Styles, Fastlane,
Can AJ Styles retain The WWE title and go on to face Shinsuke Nakamura at Fastlane?

Believe it or not, AJ Styles coming out the winner at Fastlane does have its upside.

While it is arguably the most predictable outcome out of any of these, it is also a great way to build up Styles as the ultimate babyface and make him look like a survivor in the process. It would also be a great ending for The WWE Universe, who are hooked on the idea of the dream match between Nakamura and Styles, which is an added bonus.

Styles even has a lot of options on who he can pin to win retain the title, which gives WWE a lot of different options to make him looking good heading into WrestleMania 34. For example, if Styles is able to pin Cena for the win, he would go into WrestleMania having beaten one of the most established superstars of all time.

Then there's Baron Corbin, who despite needing some momentum right now, would be an exellent choice to make Styles look even more like a conquering babyface by beating him. In the end, there's a lot of different scenarios at play with this one, but Styles coming out on top and looking like a survivor in the process is ultimately the best of them.
