5 Possible Replacements For Seth Rollins In Upcoming Storylines

Seth Rollins has reportedly been injured for the past few weeks, but the news of his injury has only reached dirtsheet news over the past few days. Rollins was reportedly injured before he won The Royal Rumble and stepped into a feud with Brock Lesnar leading into WrestleMania, which is why he is expected to still be on WWE TV in the coming weeks, but not active as a physical performer.

Interestingly, Brock Lesnar has enough enemies right now that Rollins could make some friends and have some help to overcome the beast whilst he is unable to compete himself.

On the other end of the spectrum, there is the added fact that Lesnar isn't actually expected to return to the company until WrestleMania season when he will be setting up for his match with Rollins, so WWE could allow The Kingslayer to step into a feud with someone else over the next few weeks.

#5. Finn Balor

Finn Balor took Brock Lesnar to the absolute limit at The Royal Rumble, it reached the point where many fans were questioning whether or not The Beast had what it takes to get past Balor when he was at full strength.

Many believed that Balor could have defeated Brock Lesnar if he had brought The Demon with him, which could lead to a rematch in the future. Finn Balor has his own issues with Bobby Lashley at present, but after this week's match on Raw, Balor could easily step into a feud with whoever Rollins was originally supposed to feud with since he's on the same level as the former World Champion.

Balor was once the original Universal Champion, but he has since lost his claim to the title and Rollins' injury could be his way back into this feud.

#4. Drew McIntyre

Drew McIntyre was the man who was expected to win the 2019 Royal Rumble, but Rollins actually walked out with the win and it's obvious that the former NXT Champion is still sour about the result.

McIntyre has been pushed to the highest level on Monday Night Raw over the past few weeks and has been the reason why Kurt Angle has reached the point where he needs to address his future on Raw because he was embarrassed in the UK by The Scottish star.

McIntyre was said to be part of a huge match at WrestleMania, which could be against Braun Strowman given the fact that he recently attacked The Monster Among Men. Either way, if Drew was able to step up to Lesnar in upcoming storylines then the WWE Universe would easily back McIntyre throughout the feud.

#3. Braun Strowman

Braun Strowman was supposed to face Brock Lensar at The Royal Rumble but because of his anger and the fact that he took it out on Vince McMahon's Limo, he was replaced in the match by Finn Balor.

Strowman isn't happy about his current position on WWE TV since he was recently attacked by Baron Corbin and Drew McIntyre. Strowman would be the obvious choice since he was the runner up of the Rumble, he should be the second in line to face Lesnar if Rollins had to drop out. Strowman has the following of the WWE Universe and he has taken Lesnar to his limit a number of times, he would be the perfect candidate to step into Rollins shoes and help him to overcome any obstacles on the road to WrestleMania over the next few months.

#2. Dean Ambrose

Dean Ambrose and Seth Rollins have been at odds over the past few months, but now they have been able to go their separate ways. It was Rollins that was victorious over his former Shield teammate last week on Raw, but this could easily turn into a better situation for both men.

Ambrose and Rollins were brothers for a number of years and it's obvious that that kind of bond doesn't go away easily, it could be believed that Ambrose would save Rollins from any other stars who were trying to attack him, since they are obviously still friends deep down.

It is also well known that Ambrose doesn't like Brock Lesnar, something that stems from his match with The Beast back at WrestleMania 32 and he would love the chance to step up to Lesnar once again.

#1. Roman Reigns

Roman Reigns announced that he was struggling with leukaemia back in October before he then took hiatus from the company, the former World Champion was holding the Universal Championship at the time and was then forced to relinquish it and it was later lifted by Brock Lesnar at Crown Jewel in November.

Reigns has recently been spotted on the set of Hobbs and Shaw where he portrays The Rock's brother and many reports now suggest that this could be a hint as to what the future holds for Reigns.

Many believe that the star could now be well enough to return to the company in a smaller role and if Rollins isn't able to wrestle at WrestleMania 35 in a few months time then The Big Dog could easily step into his place and look to reclaim the title he never lost.
