The Road To WrestleMania is going full steam ahead as we are now just one pay per view away from the biggest pay per view in sports entertainment.
Once the Monday Night Raw and Smackdown Live after Fastlane are in the books, we should have a good idea of what the WrestleMania card is going to look like this year, but every once in a while the Chairman of the Board Vince McMahon pulls out something from up his sleeve for the grand spectacle.
WrestleMania is the night when there are the most eyes on the product, so the pressure is on the WWE to provide a great show and to bring about some surprises to get the fans talking about the event for years to come.
Over the past couple of years some surprises included the nWo and Degeneration X making appearances during the Triple H v. Sting match, former NBA superstar Shaquille O’Neal being a surprise entrant in the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal, and having three WWE Hall of Famers in the Rock, Stone Cold Steve Austin, and Hulk Hogan kicking off the festivities of WrestleMania XXX.
The big question is what does Vince have up his sleeve for WrestleMania 33? This article will cover five potential surprises that could happen on “The Grandest Stage Of Them All” on April 2nd.
They range from debuts of new superstars from Ring of Honor and New Japan Pro Wrestling to the return of some legends, it also covers one of the most recognisable names in the sport today.

#5 A Bullet Club invasion with the debut of Adam Cole and Kenny Omega
On the WWE roster, there are currently four wrestlers that have been past members of the famed Bullet Club in New Japan Pro Wrestling.
Those wrestlers are Finn Balor, AJ Styles, Karl Anderson, and Luke Gallows. Two more wrestlers of that faction are free agents and could be on their way to the WWE, their names are Kenny Omega and Adam Cole.

Omega and Cole are definitely in the group of the best in professional wrestling that are currently not in the WWE. Omega’s New Japan deal is already up, and Adam Cole’s Ring of Honor deal is up very soon with the expectation being that he’s not going to re-sign.
While Vince McMahon cannot use the Bullet Club, they could still have a reunion with these two and any of the current wrestlers who were in that faction.
#4 Hulk Hogan returns to the company, could be the new Raw GM
If you’ve paid close attention lately, you’ve seen the WWE quietly mention Hulk Hogan again from time to time when referencing past historical events in WWE history.
Once the racial comments were made public in Hogan’s battle with Gawker, the WWE had immediately dropped him from Tough Enough and had also removed all mentions of him on their website.
Time heals all wounds, however, and it now appears that the WWE are going to welcome Hogan back again. There’s no better time to do so than the show that Hogan helped build in WrestleMania.
With Mick Foley having to take time off to have surgery on his hip, there is an opening for the Monday Night Raw General Manager, and it is a role Hogan has done before on Impact Wrestling, so he might very well be a coming back for the same!
#3 Ronda Rousey signs a full-time contract to be a WWE Superstar
WrestleMania is the time for memorable moments to occur, and WrestleMania 31 in San Francisco was no different when the Rock came out to confront Triple H and his wife Stephanie McMahon.
While the Rock doesn’t need back up for Triple H, he was looking for a tag team partner to stare down Stephanie and it ended up being none other than the former UFC champion Ronda Rousey.
Rousey had an impressive undefeated streak going in the UFC when she won her first 12 fights, but since then, she has lost her last two fights and questions linger on whether she’s going to retire or not.
Those questions linger because she’s been involved in Hollywood, but has also made her intentions known that she’d like to become a sports entertainer some day for the WWE as well.
Making the official announcement for the newest addition to the women’s roster at WrestleMania would be the best time to say that Rousey is here and ready to break some arms.
#2 Kurt Angle has a match two nights after being inducted into the Hall Of Fame
A surprise announcement last month revealed that the person headlining the 2017 class of the WWE Hall Of Fame was none other than Kurt Angle. After a ten year stint with Impact Wrestling, Angle left and opened the door for a WWE return.
While he hasn’t been on WWE television yet, don’t rule out the possibility of Angle making a huge return to confront someone like Rusev.
At age 48, the days of being a full-time competitor are behind Angle, but the possibility of him being involved with the WWE going forward is there, particularly with Mick Foley having to take a leave from his Raw GM duties as previously mentioned.
Angle would make a great replacement for the Raw GM, but another WrestleMania match would certainly be a treat for his fans and for those in the WWE Universe that may have not seen him previously.
#1 Bringing in the Broken Hardys
Unless you’re living under a rock, you know that the Broken Hardy’s have been one of the best things going in professional wrestling today. The transformation of Matt in the spring of 2016, followed by Jeff towards the tail end of 2016 has been nothing short of creative genius.
It was 2010 when the Hardy’s were last in the WWE, but their contracts are up with Impact Wrestling very soon.
Vince McMahon would be nuts to not bring the broken incarnation of the Hardys into the company to bolster the tag division, just as long as the version of Matt and Jeff that is brought over is this one.
