5 possible WrestleMania 34 opponents for The Miz

The Miz has been a consistent part of WWE since finding his stripe in 2009 after his tag team championship runs with John Morrison. Since breaking up with John Morrison, the Miz has gone on to become a 1-time WWE champion, 8-time Intercontinental champion, 2-time United States champion, a 3-time WWE tag team champion, 1-time World tag team champion, won the Money In the Bank ladder match and main evented Wrestlemania against John Cena.

This shows the amount of trust the company has in The Miz, with his stock quickly raising due to E! Network giving The Miz and Maryse their own reality show. WWE would be smart to give The Miz a top match featuring his Intercontinental championship on the grandest stage of them all. Today I'm going to give my thoughts on who I think the Miz should defend his championship against at Wrestlemania.

#5 Finn Balor

On February 5th The Miz and Finn Balor exchanged tweets when Balor tweeted out a picture of him kicking The Miz in the face. Miz's response seemed unfazed firing back with, "undefeated on the main roster, until you faced me. Watch what you post rookie". Although this could just be two superstars poking fun at each other, could this be leading to something bigger between the two?

Finn Balor has been kind of spinning the wheels' creativity since returning from injury, feuding with the likes of Elias and Bray. His recent feuds have left a lot to be aspired. A feud with someone like The Miz, could whose mic skills are on a different level right now could really bring a lot out of Finn Balor. It would be very interesting to see if how "The Demon King" would fit into this situation, but nonetheless, this match up would be a great opener for the grandest stage of them all.

#4 Seth Rollins

"The Architect" Seth Rollins has been a huge part of WWE programming since debuting on WWE television along side The Shield. Rollins went on to become a 2-time WWE World Heavyweight Champion, 3-time WWE/RAW tag team champion, and a 1-time United States Champion.

The only championship Seth Rollins hasn't won is the championship The Miz currently holds, the intercontinental championship. The Miz and The Miztourage have been crossing paths with Seth Rollins and the Shield Since November of 2017. So a match up with these two at Wrestlemania isn't totally out of the question. With Dean Ambrose out (Seth's original rumored Wrestlemania 34 opponents) and Jason Jordan (Seth's rumored replacement opponent for Wrestlemania 34) recently having neck surgery, who better to take on 'The Architect' Seth Rollins?

#3 Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel

The Miztourage has been a foil for The Miz and a way of getting Curtis Axel and Bo Dallas on television. The past few weeks there have been little shades of cracks in The Miztourage showing. I wouldn't be surprised to see The Miz defend his championship in a triple threat against lackeys, Bo Dallas and Curtis Axel after The Miz being tired of their bickering.

This would be a great way to get some momentum on the former intercontinental champion Curtis Axel and the former NXT champion Bo Dallas. Although it may not seem like a big match for The Miz and a step down in some eyes, if he could have a great match with these two on the grandest stage of them all three of their careers could skyrocket as a result. The story pretty much would right itself, The Miz tired of his lackeys arguing at each other and seeing them as dead weight now more than help. Although I don't think this is the direction the company is going, it would be a fun ride there.

#2 Braun Strowman

The "Monster Among Men" Braun Strowman, has been on an absolute tear since the brand split in July of 2016. Destroying everybody in his path, from James Ellsworth to Brock Lesner there has been nobody able to stop this monster. During the TLC match involving Braun Strowman teaming up with The Miz, The Bar And Kane to take on The Shield consisting of Dean Ambrose, Seth Rollins and Kurt Angle, The Miz, The Bar and Kane would throw Braun Strowman into a garbage truck leaving him to be crushed.

Although we've seen Strowman get his revenge on Kane, we are yet to see Strowman do anything to The Miz for his actions. I think this match could be a great mix of styles that could get a lot out of Strowman on the mic, and it can continue the push of Strowman by giving him the Intercontinental championship if they're not ready to give him the WWE Universal championship. Having Strowman, destroy things every week trying to get his hands on The Miz on the lead up to Wrestlemania would be fantastic to watch!

#1 Daniel Bryan

Most Recent stare down between Smackdown General manager Daniel Bryan and Intercontinental Champion The Miz.

Are you surprised to see this match is number 1 on this list? This match is the most organic feud WWE has at the moment. Rewinding back to when The Miz was Daniel Bryan's pro on the first season of NXT back when it had a game show formula, The Miz consistently disrespected Bryan due to his independent wrestling background.

Feuding over the United States Championship for a few months when Daniel Bryan got rehired after the summer of 2010, their paths didn't cross much until the brand split of 2016 when The Miz was drafted to Smackdown Live. During an episode of Talking Smack, Daniel Bryan called The Miz a coward and said he wrestled like a coward. This set off a fuse in The Miz in a promo heard around the world, where Miz let off all of his frustrations on how the WWE universe and Daniel Bryan viewed him. Since this promo, the fans (including myself) have been wanting to see this match. Although we don't know the health status of Daniel Bryan this is the money match for WWE at the moment. We've seen Kurt Angle and Lita in recent times get cleared for one more match, why can't Daniel Bryan have one more match for the intercontinental championship, the championship, he never lost against the guy that was kayfabe Daniel Bryan's pro.

That's it for today, sound off your suggestions in the comments section below.
