#2 Rhodes turns heel
At Dominion, the American Nightmare certainly made his presence felt, as Cody almost ended up costing Kenny Omega the match against Okada. Yes, it ended up being a draw so his influence wouldn’t have mattered much anyway, but it certainly added to the drama of the contest and planted the seeds for a potential heel turn in the future.
Why not have NJPW do something that they barely ever do: a dusty finish (how appropriate).
Cody could once again come down to the ring with a towel, however, this time he throws it in Kenny’s face and before Omega even has a chance to react he gets dropped on his head by the man formerly known as Stardust. Boom – instant heat.
