5 Potential feuds for Bray Wyatt on Raw

Bray Wyatt is back on Monday Night Raw

The ‘Superstar Shake-up’ has done exactly that, shaken things up. It has already set up a whole host of new and exciting potential feuds, and it has also changed the landscape of both Raw and SmackDown LIVE.

One of the biggest and most remarkable changes from the first leg of the ‘Shake-up’ was Bray Wyatt joining the red brand and interrupting Finn Bálor. I think it’s fair to say that not many people expected the Eater of Worlds to leave SmackDown LIVE. After all, he only recently lost the WWE World Championship, and he’s still embroiled in a rivalry with Randy Orton. The two even have a ‘House of Horrors’ match (whatever the hell that is!) set for Payback.

While the match with Orton is still on, Wyatt interrupting Finn has whet the appetite of the fans, who are already speculating that the two could be set to do battle in a dream match sooner rather than later.

At the time of writing, the second leg of the ’Superstar Shake-up’ has not yet taken place on SmackDown LIVE, and the personnel of both rosters could still change drastically. However, let’s take the time to look at 5 potential feuds for Bray Wyatt on Monday Night Raw.

#1 Finn Bálor

Wyatt has already begun the mind games with Finn Bálor

As mentioned earlier, Bray marked his arrival on Raw by interrupting Finn Bálor.

This indicates that Wyatt and Bálor could be set for a feud in the near future, in what has the potential to be one the most interesting angles in recent memory. A showdown between two of the most fascinating personalities in all of WWE has been something that the fans have wanted to see for a long time, but until now, they have not crossed paths in either NXT or on WWE’s main roster.

The mind games and dark, eerie promos that both men could do to each other could make for some memorable television and set up a lengthy feud between two of WWE’s most compelling characters.

#2 Matt Hardy

The Hardy Boyz and Bray Wyatt are finally under the same roof

Talking of feuds that the fans want to see, now that Wyatt and the Hardy Boyz are on the same brand, we may finally get to see a fantasy match between The Eater of Worlds and a legend in his own right, Matt Hardy.

While it is still unclear how much of the ‘Broken’ gimmick Matt will be able to use in WWE, due to his ongoing dispute with Impact Wrestling, he can still have a tremendous feud with Bray Wyatt.

Some of Wyatt’s recent work, such as the battle with The New Day at the compound and Orton burning down the lair of the Wyatt Family, has drawn comparisons to Broken Matt’s work in TNA, particularly his ‘Final Deletion’ and ‘Tag Team Apocalypto’ matches.

This led to some exchanges between Bray and Hardy on Twitter and, until now, a meeting between the two seemed highly unlikely. But with The Hardys recent return to WWE and this week’s ‘Superstar Shake-up’, this fantasy match is now one step closer to becoming a reality.

#3 Braun Strowman

Will Braun Strowman soon feud with his former master?

Another man who Bray could cross paths is former Wyatt Family member, Braun Strowman.

Strowman has improved no end since breaking out as a singles competitor after the brand split, so it will be interesting to see him revisit a figure from his past in Bray Wyatt, not just because of their history but also because Braun has evolved into a Superstar.

It would be interesting to see Bray use his mind games to provoke and frustrate Strowman in the build to a match. Or, could Bray possibly still have some control over Braun that may lead to a possible reunion. Either way, a feud between the ‘Eater of Worlds’ and the ‘Monster among Men’ would be interesting to see.

#4 Seth Rollins

Will WWE revisit the Wyatt vs. Shield feud with Bray and Seth?

Bray’s trade to Raw gives WWE another opportunity to build him up as the dominant monster heel that he always should have been, and I sincerely hope they get it right on this occasion.

If Bray becomes a bonafide main event villain, then he could be used to establish Seth Rollins as a fully fledged face. Rollins and Wyatt seem like perfect rivals and their strengths compliment each other. Bray can set up and build the feud with captivating promos while Rollins is one of the best in-ring performers on the entire roster.

This would be a feud that could benefit both men as they could use each other to elevate themselves from popular upper mid-card talents to bonafide main event stars.

#5 Brock Lesnar

We are still yet to see Bray and Lesnar face each other one-on-one

With Bray now appearing on Monday night’s, he now has the opportunity to revisit a rival he still has some unfinished business with, Brock Lesnar.

After the Wyatt Family eliminated Brock from the 2016 Royal Rumble match, Bray was scheduled to face ‘The Beast’ at Roadblock. However, the match was changed at the last minute to Bray and Luke Harper against Lesnar in a handicap match, which Lesnar went on to win.

This was due to a legitimate injury to Wyatt that also ruled him out of any kind of match at that year’s WrestleMania. Therefore, we never got the one-on-one bout between Bray and Lesnar.

The ‘Superstar Shake-up’ has brought these men back together and with Bray having recently lost the WWE World Championship, you’d think it won’t be long until he sets his sights on the Universal Championship, currently held by Brock Lesnar.
