5 Potential finishes for the AJ Styles vs Brock Lesnar match at WWE Survivor Series 2017

A dream match, they say? Hopefully the outcome will be as imaginative too...
A dream match, they say? Hopefully, the outcome will be as imaginative too...

The Beast Incarnate rolls into Survivor Series as a firm favourite against AJ Styles but as Daniel Bryan reminded all of us on this past week's episode of SmackDown Live, the Phenomenal One is this generation's best in-ring performer for a reason.

If anyone can take the fight to Lesnar and push him to his limit, you'd think it would be him.

Then again, knowing Vince McMahon's untiring crusade to get Roman Reigns over, Styles may push Lesnar but he'll probably let Roman do the beating at WrestleMania, right?

Wrong.

As we saw last year at Survivor Series when a returning Goldberg smashed the Beast Incarnate, you can never be too sure of the outcome of a match in the WWE... unless Roman is involved in it.

You can follow Sportskeeda's live updates and coverage of Survivor Series 2017 right here.

On that note then, here are 5 possible finishes to the AJ Styles vs Brock Lesnar match at Survivor Series.

If you have any cool ideas on how the match can finish, do let us know in the comments section!

#1 Monsterhandled!

Braun isn't finished with Brock
Braun isn't finished with Brock

One of the legitimately greater regrets a WWE fan can have this year is how Braun Strowman was booked as an all-conquering monster who had Brock Lesnar's number in the lead up to No Mercy... only to go on and lose in pathetic fashion.

It completely deflated all the momentum he had going for him and to be honest, he still hasn't regained it.

I'd personally like to think that the Strowman - Lesnar feud is something that the WWE wouldn't mind doing over if only to book the eventual match more competitively.

And having Strowman interfere at Survivor Series could be a good way to get the ball rolling on it again.

#2 Squash match

Lesnar does a Lesnar.
Lesnar does a Lesnar.

Apparently, the Paul Heyman-Brock Lesnar nexus of power has so much clout backstage that they get to decide how each match of his goes down.

This has been pretty obvious in almost all of Lesnar's matches of late. He shows up, lugs around his opponent for a bunch of Suplexes, hits an F5 and pins him having done the least amount of work required.

Despite the heat he's been getting from fans for being a lazy worker, Lesnar is the last person to change his modus operandi because people don't like it.

And as much as you or I may want it to, I don't see it changing against AJ Styles at Survivor Series either.

#3 AJ Styles pulls off the upset

A marquee victory for AJ Styles and SD Live!

Daniel Bryan putting over AJ Styles in the fashion of Paul Heyman sent a strong statement to the WWE Universe and indeed, to his opponent at Survivor Series.

It made AJ come across like a really big deal, which he is, and also cast some doubt on the conclusion to a match that many believed was forgone.

The WWE has shown themselves willing to have Lesnar lose the odd match here and there (think back to Undertaker and Goldberg) if it still means that he comes out on top in a long-term feud.

Also, the fact that Lesnar doesn't lose his WWE Universal Title even if AJ nicks a victory at Survivor Series should prove further incentive for them to spring a surprise on Sunday.

#4 Jinder costs AJ Styles the match

The Modern Day Maharaja doesn't really come across as a very sporting loser and I really wouldn't put it past him to interfere on Sunday and cost AJ Styles the match.

For one, it would keep the budding feud between him and the Phenomenal One on the Blue brand ticking over as they continue to battle for the WWE Championship.

And secondly, a screwy finish would only prevent AJ Styles, and in turn the WWE Championship, from losing legitimacy.

It would also provide a platform for Jinder Mahal to get more of the spotlight, which may be all the more essential now that he isn't propped up by a Championship anymore.

#5 The Kevin Owens-Sami Zayn show

Could Zayn and KO show up at Survivor Series anyway?
Could Zayn and KO show up at Survivor Series anyway?

Now that KO and Sami Zayn are on the same page, there's no telling what the duo will do.

They're literally coming across as loose cannons after Owens allegedly attacked Kofi Kingston and slipped out of the ring, escaping from a beating he was supposed to take from Big E and Xavier Woods.

Add to that the myriad of storyline issues they seem to have with Shane McMahon, and it's pretty apparent that neither man is happy with the Blue Brand.

On the other hand, neither Owens nor Zayn are a part of Survivor Series, which leaves them free to interfere and sock it to SmackDown Live further.

It also gives them an important storyline to be a part of, especially if the WWE decides to carry forward a feud between them and AJ Styles after the event.

After all, both of them need a solid storyline to be a part of and if it also involves AJ Styles, at least the matches will be great.
