When it comes to fantastical situations that may draw a lot of attention, Goldberg could potentially do the unthinkable and appear on WWE NXT.

The current NXT Champion, Finn Balor, is scheduled to face Pete Dunne at WWE NXT TakeOver: Vengeance Day. The Men's Royal Rumble winner, Edge, recently appeared on the Black and Gold brand to break the barriers between legends and NXT. The Rated-R Superstar said that he will keep his eye on the Dunne vs. Balor match, and that he could also challenge the NXT Champion at WrestleMania 37.

This plot direction seems unlikely, as Edge is rumored to face Roman Reigns at The Show of Shows.

Regardless of whether or not Finn Balor will remain NXT Champion by WrestleMania, there is potential to build up a WrestleMania feud between Balor and Goldberg instead.

Firstly, Goldberg recently stated that he has always been a huge fan of Finn Balor's work. Secondly, Balor has publicly defended legends like Goldberg who return for one-off matches, implying that there is a heightened buzz surrounding WWE's shows when legends come back to the promotion.

It seems like both parties would be eager for a dream clash in WWE. This potential program will bring a lot of eyes to NXT as a result of Goldberg's presence. Facing a versatile and smaller opponent like Balor would also allow the WCW icon to do things he usually cannot do in the ring with heavyweights these days.

NXT represents the future of WWE, and if a representative of the brand like Balor was able to defeat Goldberg, it would create a brand new narrative after WrestleMania 37 is over.
