Does 'Woken' Matt Hardy need a change of scenery?

Woken Matt Hardy isn't working even though it should. The gimmick is funny and entertaining and just needs a little more space to grow. I think partnering Hardy with Wyatt has reduced him to just another crazy guy, and splitting the two up might be the way to see him blossom. On SmackDown Live, however, there is no superstar comparable to the 'Woken Warrior'. Having Hardy as the lone "out there" gimmick on Smackdown Live would help him stand out. I also feel Smackdown has a more independent feel compared to Raw, particularly when you consider the brands top stars. This gimmick thrived in the indies and I feel it would be better off away from the flagship show.
