The Empress of tomorrow appears poised to continue her dominance as part of the Raw women's roster.

She was the most dominant NXT champion in the brand's existence, and now she is part of Monday Night Raw. Asuka wasn't just undefeated during her reign as champion; she was undefeated in NXT, period.

Her 500 plus day reign is the greatest championship reign of any competitor, man or women, over the last quarter of a century. We have seen undefeated streaks like Goldberg's, and successful reigns by the likes of John Cena and Brock Lesnar, but there has yet to be a female or male to attain all of these achievements.

Asuka raged through everyone and everything all the way to the top. She has beaten women in singles matches, multi-women matches, and what seemed like handicap matches, and it hasn't mattered who they were no one was able to stop her or even slow her down. What does the future hold for her on Raw? We believe she will only go up! Here are five reasons Asuka will be successful on Raw.

#5. Her build

Before her arrival, Asuka was built as someone to be afraid of in the WWE.

Evan as it was announced that she was relinquishing her NXT women's championship, the foundation was already being laid for the Empress of Tomorrow's arrival on either Raw or Smackdown Live, through the announcement by William Regal that negotiations were already underway.

As Triple H stood in the ring and praised her achievements, the clear indication was that she was clearly being built as a competitor not to be messed with, whatever show she ended up on.

What followed was vignette after vignette promoting her arrival to the Raw roster. With each vignette that aired, the mystique, the aura, and the intrigue were clearly established.

Each one indicated that the former NXT women's champion was more than simply a woman with a geisha mask and brightly coloured hair. She was going to be something special, and a person that neither the men's nor women's divisions had ever seen before.

#4 Clearly defining her established dominance

One of the most notable qualities about Asuka during her time in NXT was how strongly she was always presented. From the very beginning, with her feuds against Dana Brooke and Emma, fans were aware that she was so dominant that she could essentially beat both women on her own. That should have been the telltale sign that her time wasn't something to be overlooked.

As time passed, she slowly moved up the ranks in the women's division, beating everyone including the likes of current main roster talents Alexa Bliss and Carmella. Her crowning moment came when she defeated the heart of NXT, Bayley, at NXT Takeover: Dallas. That was a sign that they weren't going to play around with this talent. She has looked dominant, and this needs to continue to be a focal point now that she has joined the Raw roster.

#3 There isn't quite anyone ready for her

While there have been dominant characters such as Goldberg and Brock Lesnar in the men's division, there have been very few women that could fall under the title of ‘dominant.' Some women have been considered dominant because of their imposing sizes, such as Bull Nakano or Awesome Kong. However, Asuka's intimidating nature isn't necessarily tied to one thing. She comes to the ring with the pomp and circumstance few other women on the roster have.

Fans can tell she is confident in her abilities, and when she removes her mask the beauty that initially appears is simply a guise for the rage that rests behind her eyes. With her intimidating screams and ability to strike her opponents with reckless abandon, there is no mistaking that others in the division should cower in her presence. It would be easy to ignore anyone quality about her, but when she flips the switch, she shows that there isn't anyone there ready for her.

#2 Her character and natural charisma

The aura around her certainly suggests her success is inevitable.

The more Asuka won in NXT, the bigger she believed she was, and strengthened by that belief, she continued to show just how much character she has with very brief and impactful vignettes and interviews.

While Alexa Bliss is often praised for how great her character is because she is so effective as a heel, fans shouldn't forget those moments when Asuka would say how great she is and then prove it by wasting the competition.

There was the time she was interviewed in a limo, only to end it by saying say ‘Next question' and ‘You're wasting my time.' Or she would tell backstage interviewers ‘Did you see that out there? This is mine!' and laugh sarcastically all the way to the back.

They were brief and yet compelling moments that really should become a focal point for her moving forward. As a face she is convincing, but she could also certainly change gears and make others dislike her as well.

#1 She's unlike anything the women's division has ever seen before

At no other time in the WWE's women's roster has there been a female with the intangible qualities that make her a star

Despite all the names and faces that have come through WWE, there has never been a female of the same ilk as Asuka. The in-ring performer we are seeing is the one female that has the potential to be more impactful than any other women in the history of the division. While that may seem like a bold statement, we need to consider that, despite her success and evident talent, most other women have had advantages that she has not.

She is a foreign talent adapting to the culture and the language, which previous North American and European women have not had to worry about. While she may have competed, on occasion, in the past for North American audiences, she now has the potential to open the eyes of fans all around the world to how dominant she is. Not only young fans, but anyone living in Japan can look up to her hoping to one day make their dreams come true as well.
