#2 Makes sense based on the past

Brock Lesnar has had a string of dream matches with smaller sized opponents over the last few years and they have been absolute barn burners. Brock's best matches of the last few years have involved smaller wrestlers. Only Seth Rollins has been able to conquer The Beast, which he did at WrestleMania 35 and later on in the year at SummerSlam, but AJ Styles, Daniel Bryan, and Finn Balor took Brock to his limit as well.
With that being said and smaller competitors starting to mount better offense against The Beast, would it truly make sense for him to win in an outright squash match? Furthermore, why even bother investing the WWE Universe into Ricochet as a viable opponent if he will just be taken down by an F-5 and left in a crumpled heap before we get a chance to blink?
In the end, Ricochet deserves better than that and the company should at least let the man mount some kind of offense on The Beast. Of course it's pretty much a forgone conclusion that this match will end with Lesnar's arm being raised, but the company could at least have a little fun getting us there!
