So, now that Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode are the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions, it effectively means that they will take on the babyface teams in the roster. Had The Street Profits remained the Champions and vanquished Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode, they would have had to take on heel teams!
But now that Shinsuke Nakamura is seemingly getting a singles push, Cesaro and Nakamura are effectively out of the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Division. In other words, The Street Profits would have had nobody to feud with had they defeated Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode.
Well, maybe a case could be made for The Forgotten Sons as potential competitors, but let's be honest, they have only been portrayed as King Corbin's cronies.
Because Shinsuke Nakamura is now a singles star, following the angle with Roman Reigns, it may have indirectly resulted in Dolph Ziggler and Robert Roode becoming the WWE SmackDown Tag Team Champions.
