After storming through NXT, and gathering a massive fan base along the way, Paige miraculously won her first ever Divas championship on her very first night on Raw, knocking off an over-confident AJ Lee in the process.
The decision to put the belt on Paige so early on clearly shows the company has, or at least had, bags of faith in her. They believe she can deliver the goods, so having her win the first-ever women's Royal Rumble makes complete sense.
