American football needs a boost

The gridiron, aka American football, is a sport that is kind of like marmite – you either love it or you hate it. Many fans from around the world can’t stand to even watch a minute of action, meanwhile, others enjoy that it’s different to anything else you see on a week to week basis.

Perhaps the re-introduction of the XFL can assist in growing the sport so that it has an even bigger international appeal. Their association with WWE through Vince will certainly help with that, especially when you consider how many countries the WWE Network is used in.

It won’t happen overnight, but perhaps we can start seeing American football as more of a global sport moving forward.
