During Batista's last run, he was clearly entitled to a WWE World Heavyweight Championship match due to the fact that he had won the 2014 Royal Rumble match. But due to the power of the Yes! Movement, The Animal instead proceeded to put Daniel Bryan over at WrestleMania in the triple threat match consisting of himself, Bryan and Randy Orton as Bryan had become the new WWE World Heavyweight Champion by making Batista tap out.

The fact that Batista had agreed with the decision to tap out to Bryan should be respected due to his character being such a dominant force to be reckoned with.

Batista and Randy Orton then went onto reunite with Triple H to reform Evolution after Wrestlemania 30, as this was another big moment in the WWE at the time. When Evolution first formed in the WWE, they had made a huge name for themselves as Batista and Orton came out of the stable looking like two stars who were on the cusp of greatness. They then went onto win multiple world championships after their first run.

However, Evolution's second run saw them put over The Shield in two consecutive PPV's at Extreme Rules 2014 as well as Payback 2014. This was a booking decision that needed to be done to solidify The Shield's dominant stature as babyfaces.

Unfortunately for the WWE, Batista then left the company on the June 2nd, 2014 episode of Raw after Triple H had refused to give him another shot at the world title.
