#5 Strowman vs Lesnar is overdone

Is Brock Lesnar versus Braun Strowman overdone?
Is Brock Lesnar versus Braun Strowman overdone?

Let's be honest here.

Braun Strowman and Brock Lesnar have faced off several times over the last year or so and there really doesn't seem like there is much left there to even explore.

Beyond that, The WWE Universe seems to be getting tired of the overdone matchup and want something new to enjoy in The Universal title picture.

Fortunately for The WWE Universe, Finn Balor pinned John Cena to win a Fatal four-way match and will now be going on to face Brock Lesnar at The Royal Rumble!

If nothing else, Balor is a much better choice for The Beast to face and will definitely get a lot more eyeballs watching due to WWE finally pulling the trigger on a dream match.

#4 Braun Strowman's injuries

Did Braun Strowman's injuries play a role in him being removed from The Universal title picture?
Did Braun Strowman's injuries play a role in him being removed from The Universal title picture?

Whether The WWE Universe likes it or not, Strowman has been piling up injuries over the last year or so and its definitely not helping him prove to WWE that he deserves to be their top guy.

In fact, it's probably making them wonder if Strowman can even handle being their biggest star for a prolonged period of time.

While that might sound a little unfair, especially since Strowman has done a lot of things right since coming to the main roster, he honestly hasn't proven himself to be reliable.

Not only is that becoming evident by the number of pay per views he has missed over the last couple of months, but also by the fact that they always seem to happen when he is in or near the title picture.

Maybe that will change somewhere down the line and maybe Balor getting put in the title picture is just a distraction for something else to happen.

But the point is that Strowman is going to have to prove himself before WWE starts to believe in The Monster Among Men again.

#3 Perfect storyline

Is it time for Finn Balor to be Universal champion once again?
Is it time for Finn Balor to be Universal champion once again?

WWE has done some pretty amazing things over the course of their history, but nothing compares with what they just pulled off by putting Finn Balor in a Universal title match against Brock Lesnar.

Interestingly enough, however, this seems to be so much more than just a dream and WWE is proving it with the new way they are booking Balor.

Think about it! From Balor interrupting Vince Mcmahon, to getting challenged for his spot in the fatal four-way match by Jinder Mahal, absolutely everything WWE did Monday night on Raw served a purpose.

Furthermore, it made Balor look like a Daniel Bryan type of underdog, and really brought Balor's grievances with the company to life.

If nothing else, Balor beating Cena clean and then getting endorsed by the 16-time champion afterward is proof that WWE has big plans for Balor.

What those plans pertain to remains to be seen, but with WWE blending storyline is a reality the way they are, it absolutely feels like WWE will cap it off with a Universal title run.

#2 Bad reactions

Bruan Strowman just doesn't seem to get the same reaction anymore

Another problem with Strowman is that he doesn't elicit the kind of solid response that the company needs in a Universal champion.

Of course, that doesn't mean Strowman isn't a popular Superstar and exciting to watch, it just means that WWE exposes his weaknesses too much and the fans haven't reacted very kindly to them.

Whether that has to do with his lackluster promo skills or his inability to connect with the audience beyond beating people up is irrelevant.

What is relevant however is the fact that WWE obviously sees something they don't like in Braun Strowman as champion and are doing everything they can to remove him from the title picture.

In the end, this is the change The WWE Universe has wanted for a while now and it's nice to know that the company is finally listening to some extent.

Unfortunately for Strowman, that seems to mean that he will be surpassed by Balor and other Superstars that fans believe have been held back for some time now.

#1 Balor vs Lesnar dream match

Finn Balor versus Brock Lesnar. Who wins?
Finn Balor versus Brock Lesnar. Who wins?

Brock Lesnar versus Finn Balor is a dream match of epic proportions that The WWE Universe has been waiting quite some time for and they will finally get it at The Royal Rumble pay per view.

Of course, whether Balor actually comes out the winner or not remains to be seen, but The Beast Incarnate versus The Extraordinary Man Who Does Extraordinary Things will be a dream match regardless for several reasons.

In fact, maybe the possibility of a Balor versus Lesnar dream match is one of the reasons that the former Universal Champion was chosen to replace Strowman.

Sure, the outcome might be unfortunate for Strowman, who has chased the title for several months now, but that's a small price to pay for WWE finally giving fans the dream match they wanted!

In the end, WWE pulled the trigger on several dream matches in 2018, including Daniel Bryan versus Brock Lesnar and it appears that WWE likes the results that those kinds of matches got.

Furthermore, it appears that WWE might be willing to tell an underdog storyline of the century, which might culminate in Balor winning the title he never lost!
