#4 Match featuring a WWE legend on SummerSlam card
SummerSlam is one of the biggest PPVs in WWE, perhaps the second biggest after WrestleMania. This year's SummerSlam did not have the big-name matches featuring legends until last week when Trish Stratus returned to WWE and set up a match against Charlotte Flair for this year's SummerSlam.
The match between Goldberg and Dolph Ziggler is yet another match featuring a WWE legend to give older fans something to cheer about and make them tune in to watch the show.
WWE would have been buoyed by the viewership for the RAW Reunion show, which featured some of the greats in the business, and perhaps pushed for a match that involved one legend and a younger star for SummerSlam.
This match between Goldberg and Ziggler is possibly just a one-off and will have no future, but it is probably going to help sell a few tickets and make fans tune in to watch the PPV.
