Since losing to Roman Reigns at No Mercy last year, Cena has ceased to appear as a full-time performer. He does perform some house shows and live events, but not up to the level of wrestlers like Reigns and AJ Styles.

With Cena having a number of opportunities on his hands apart from WWE, he seems ready to take a lesser role in the company. If that means a heel role that allows him to work two or three major storylines a year, he should do it and do it well.
