This is not a knock on Jeff Hardy whom I consider to be one of the greatest sports entertainers of all time. At the age of 41, he can do things in the ring that people half his age cannot even attempt to do.
But somehow, his singles run on SmackDown Live just always seemed a little flat to me. Even his program with Samoa Joe, which had a very compelling storyline about his past, just seemed to fizzle out with absolutely no fanfare.

A tag team run, the division he helped build not in WWE but even on the independent circuit, will certainly breathe new life into his character again. I daresay that Jeff Hardy needed this alliance a lot more than Matt Hardy did because his run was getting stale.
Let's hope this tag team run is a roaring success.
