#2 It gives Gulak a rub by working with Bryan

As we've seen before, just sharing the ring with a Legend like the Rock or Stone Cold Steve Austin gives a current star "the rub." King Corbin was lucky to get one with Kurt Angle, the Rock and John Cena. Booker T even said as much on WWE Backstage regarding the Authors of Pain and Murphy working with Seth Rollins. When Superstars under the main event get to work with a certified main-event star, it ups their own stock.

By working with Daniel Bryan, many other stars have seen their prospects improve. Murphy himself wrestled one of the best matches of 2019 against Bryan. He also battled during the same storyline Reigns. Rowan joined up with Bryan during the latter's reign as the Planet's Champion. Pairing up established Superstars with those who aren't as established is a time-tested way to get the newer stars over.

We've all known how charismatic and technically impressive Gulak is. That doesn't always translate to massive success. Getting someone behind you can often lead to just as much success. Bryan wanted to work with the former Cruiserweight Champion and I'm sure Gulak wanted to work with Bryan. Having the former multi-time Champ in his corner should only help Gulak going forward and it also allows the Planet's Champion the chance to live out one of his dream pairings.
