#4. He's much better as a backstage figure at this point

Triple H contributed a lot to WWE history between 2000 and 2010 as an in-ring performer, but his legacy in the 2010s will be remembered for his incredible work backstage. Taking over NXT and revamping its format to become a developmental territory, he took the brand to new heights - where it's now positioned as WWE's third brand.

And that's the role that's suited him best. The common speculation was that his control of NXT was "training" for him to eventually take over Vince McMahon's throne once the latter steps away.

There's no denying how important his role backstage has been. Not only does he handle NXT, but he's almost always backstage for RAW and SmackDown as well. He's currently better off serving his role backstage and in the office rather than in the ring. He could be WWE's most important figure in the 2020s.

This could be the complete transition out of wrestling for him.
