5 reasons why WWE Championship match ending at SummerSlam was a bad decision

#4 Repeat of last year's WWE Title match at Summerslam

The ending of the match at the PPV has striking similarities with the WWE Championship match last year at Summerslam 2018 between AJ Styles(c) and Samoa Joe. It was Joe who had set his eyes on Styles' wife and kid which infuriated the Phenomenal One who took him out, ending the match without a fair result.

The same happened this year as well when Randy was trying to target Kofi's family. This was just lazy writing from the creative who could not come up with a new idea. This situation deserves that meme - "Can I have your homework? Yes, just make sure you change it up a bit!"

#3 There is no point in dragging the feud

As a result of a No Contest finish, the feud between Orton and Kofi will drag on to the next PPV, or maybe even after that. The issue is that there is no point in dragging this feud. Orton is an accomplished wrestler who doesn't need the title, and WWE is taking a risk of making this feud stale by dragging it to multiple PPVs.

As much as the fans respect the Apex Predator, him dethroning Kofi won't go well with them. Let's see how they keep us invested in the program going forward.
