The women's revolution is in full swing right now as the ladies of WWE recently made history by being the first female Superstars to wrestle in Saudi Arabia. The women of NXT have also recently been announced as the first to appear inside the WarGames structure, in a match that will take place on the eve of Survivor Series, with eight women given the chance to steal the show.

The women of WWE can only go so far when they are stuck in their lane, so it's time for the company to allow ladies to step up and fight the men. The likes of Shayna Baszler, Ronda Rousey, and even Nia Jax would be able to defeat several men on the current main roster, so why not give them the chance?

Intergender wrestling was once a huge part of WWE, with the likes of Trish Stratus, Lita, and even Maria Kanellis competing against men in the past, so here are a few reasons why it's time to bring back intergender wrestling.

#5 The women's division is no longer a challenge

Shayna Baszler has dominated the women's division in NXT for over a year
Shayna Baszler has dominated the women's division in NXT for over a year

Presently, many of the women in WWE have already proven that they have the kind of background that would suit wrestling males. Shayna Baszler has already dominated the women's division on NXT over the past year and now it's hard to see anyone being able to defeat The Queen of Spades for her NXT Women's Championship, which means she could be unbeatable on the main roster.

Baszler has an MMA background, which indicates she would be able to wrestle many of the men and could be seen as a heavy favorite against a number of them. Baszler isn't the only woman who could come out of the women's division and wrestle men since the likes of Ronda Rousey, Rhea Ripley, and Nia Jax could also make the step up.

#4 Some of these women already have experience in intergender situations

Candice LeRae made a living out of wrestling men

WWE has signed several female Superstars in recent years who have had experience fighting men. Candice LeRae, for example, was able to make a career out of wrestling against men and was in a tag team with Joey Ryan for several years. LeRae was someone many fans thought would never make it to WWE, but now she's in the company, hopefully, it's the beginning of change.

LeRae is part of a group of women who could step up to wrestle for men's championships, just like Chyna and Jacqueline in their prime. The Cruiserweight and Intercontinental Championships should be put up for grabs, just like the 24/7 title is available for both genders.

The company could open it out for the women to fight the men for championships shortly, since Carmella, Tamina, and Maria Kanellis have been able to lift the 24/7 Championship over the past few months.

This shouldn't be shocking, given how much the women's division has been built up over the last few years.

#3 A lot of storylines could be created

There's so much room for the women in storylines
There's so much room for the women in storylines

WWE storytelling over the past few months arguably leaves a lot to be desired, especially when it comes to the recent storyline between Rusev, Lana, and Bobby Lashley. However, there are ways to make a lot of storylines much more compelling by including women.

A few weeks ago, The Street Profits had to choose a partner to take on The Club but were unable to. How much of a step forward would it have been if Bianca Belair was chosen to partner them?

Back when Aleister Black was attacked in the parking lot of NXT, the culprit was revealed to have been Johnny Gargano, which was somewhat predictable, but how much better would that storyline have been if it was revealed that it was Candice LeRae attempting to help her husband by taking Black out of the match.

There are so many ways the women could slot into storylines if the company gave them a chance to fight the men.

#2 There is now a tasteful way of presenting it

Nia Jax had a good showing in the men's Royal Rumble match back in January
Nia Jax had a good showing in the men's Royal Rumble match back in January

During WrestleMania 34, Ronda Rousey stepped into a match where she was able to fight Triple H, and Nia Jax stepped into the men's Royal Rumble match in January 2019 and took several moves from the men before being eliminated.

WWE has proven that there is a place for intergender wrestling in a PG era, as long as it is presented well. Back in the day, many women were put in matches against men, and it was awkward to watch since many of them were unable to hold their own against much bigger opponents. Hopefully, WWE has learned from this.

Former RAW Women's Champion Ronda Rousey could easily defeat any of the mid-card male stars on the main roster, so as long as she isn't put into a match against the likes of Braun Strowman or Brock Lesnar, there would be no reason why this wouldn't be another huge step up for the women.

#1 It's naturally the next step

The women are ready for the challenge
The women are ready for the challenge

The women have been making history for several years now, from the first-ever women's Royal Rumble, Hell in a Cell, and Elimination Chamber matches, to the ladies main eventing WrestleMania and competing in their first matches in Abu Dhabi and Saudi Arabia. The female Superstars have broken so many glass ceilings.

If women can step into the most brutal matches that the company has to offer, then why are they unable to step in the ring with men? The women of NXT will step into a WarGames match in a few weeks, possibly the toughest gimmick match in the wrestling world, but where do they go from there?

There needs to be a point when WWE stops announcing the 'first-ever' for the women and just sees them as equal to the men so they are able to be part of the biggest matches, challenge for the biggest championships in the company, and continue to inspire the little girls who sit in the front row and hope to become the next breed of female Superstars someday.
