5 reasons WWE should not forget Bray Wyatt

He’s here to stay

At WrestleMania 33, Bray Wyatt fans across the world fell to their knees in despair as Randy Orton defeated his former leader to become the new WWE Champion. The loss saw Bray fall to 3-0 at the Showcase of the Immortals (4-0 unofficially if you count the attempted burial by The Rock last year), leaving many to wonder whether or not he'll ever recover.

It's a query that's been posed many times over the years as Bray has often seemed to be on the verge of a complete collapse, only to get our hopes up once more with another sensational promo. Obviously, this cat and mouse game of sorts can't go on forever, meaning that it's about time WWE fully invested in the Wyatt character.

That's easier said than done when you look at the company's track record of investing in Wyatt, but there are so many positives when you weigh up why he should be a consistent main eventer. The guy has all the traits necessary to succeed at the highest level, and because of that, he has a loyal fanbase that will never leave his side.

With that being said, here are five reasons why WWE should not forget Bray Wyatt.

#1 Open market

It’s time to move on

Whether or not you like The Undertaker is irrelevant because you can't deny that his supposed retirement at the hands of Roman Reigns at WrestleMania 33 was one of the most emotional moments in WWE history. However, as with everything in this industry we need to move on and look forward to the future - and that's where Bray Wyatt comes in.

There's now a huge spot open for someone to take over as the new spooky bad ass in WWE, and it only makes sense for Bray to fill that void. The comparisons between himself and Taker are obvious, and at this stage, there's really nobody else who has the potential to ascend to Taker's level. The Eater of Worlds can finally claim his throne.

The Demon is coming.

#2 Prospective feuds

How good would this be?

As we've already seen, WWE appears to be hinting at a potential feud between Finn Balor and Bray Wyatt - which would obviously be tremendous. It's one of many future rivalries that Wyatt could have with top-tier superstars because his character is just so damn interesting that he can make a program work with just about anybody.

Owens, Zayn, Rollins, Lesnar, Strowman and many more would all be interesting moves going forward, and while we know a few of them are currently on SmackDown Live, you never know where Wyatt could end up next as we've seen over the last few weeks. They may not be realistic feuds right now, but they definitely have a lot of potential in the future.

He's got the whole world in his hands.

#3 Longevity

Wyatt could hold numerous titles in WWE

At the age of just 29, Bray Wyatt is still one of the youngest stars in the WWE today. He has bucket loads of potential, and he's remained relatively injury free considering how much he's worked over the last few years, which can only be a good thing. Plus, given the nature of his character, you could always restrict his in-ring appearances from a wrestling standpoint.

Think about it - why does Bray need to wrestle all the time? His persona allows for members of his family to do his bidding for him, meaning that Wyatt only really has to wrestle when it's absolutely necessary. It gives him more of a prizefighter feel and it elevates him to Brock Lesnar levels, as watching him compete would be a rarity.

Everyone loves a good bit of teleportation.

#4 Storyline potential

The Wyatt Family is fascinating

Because of his cult leader gimmick and seemingly supernatural powers, there's a lot of depth when it comes to potential storylines for Bray. There's so much untapped potential regarding his background that we have yet to uncover, which draws, even more, comparisons to The Undertaker and how he was portrayed during the early stages of his career.

Plus, they can always revisit the family aspect of Bray's character arch as he could continue expanding his empire for months and months on end. Eventually, you could have Wyatt controlling over a dozen souls on a weekly basis - kind of like The Whisperers from The Walking Dead comics.

It's babyface time.

#5 That tag team match

Goodnight, Sheamus

Just over a week removed from WrestleMania 32, Bray Wyatt teamed up with Roman Reigns to face The League of Nations on an episode of Monday Night Raw. In short, it was the best Wyatt has looked in years as the WWE finally seemed ready to pull the trigger on a long-term babyface turn - pun not intended.

What pun, you ask? Well if you go back and watch the match, you'll know exactly what we're talking about. As Wyatt was pinning Del Rio following a Sister Abigail, he raised his hand and pointed a finger gun signal at Sheamus - who was then speared by The Big Dog. The significance behind this is his impeccable in-ring psychology as a face is something that can be exploited.

It's these little moments and tidbits that make him oh so interesting, and it's further proof that Bray needs to start moving away from the dark side.
