There were a number of records that were broken or changed last night
#4. Shortest time in a Royal Rumble match
Ad
Sheamus almost made history last night
The record was set back at the 2009 Royal Rumble when Santino Marella was eliminated from the annual match in just one second by Kane. Heath Slater thought that he had set a new record when he eliminated Sheamus on his 40th Birthday in what he thought was 0.8 of a second.
This wasn't the case, instead, it seems that Sheamus was eliminated in two seconds, which means that he has still set a record by taking second place in the list of the shortest times in the match over the past three decades. Sheamus' time was still the shortest in nine years and he is the first superstar to be eliminated that quickly on his Birthday.
