Nakamura won the longest Royal Rumble match in more than a decade
The men's Royal Rumble match may not have been the main event of the show, but it did bring its own records with it. SmackDown's Shinsuke Nakamura went on to win his first ever Royal Rumble match on his debut, in a match that lasted more than an hour.
The official Rumble time according to WWE.com is 1:05:27 which means that this is the longest 30-man Royal Rumble match since 2002, where Triple H won the Royal Rumble match that lasted 1:09:22. The 2011 Royal Rumble match also lasted for one hour and nine minutes but had 10 extra entrants, which means that it obviously would have been longer.
