#4. Wade Barrett makes his WWE return after a 4-year absence
Ryan Satin of Pro Wrestling Sheet initially reported that Wade Barrett was set to return on the latest episode of WWE NXT to join the announce team. Satin noted that Barrett had not signed a full-time deal to return because it was just part of a one-off agreement.
Pro Wrestling Sheet has learned former WWE star Wade Barrett will be joining the NXT announce team this week. Sources tell us this is just a one-shot deal for now and that the former leader of Nexus – who won the first original season of NXT – has not signed a full-time deal to re-join the company.
Wade Barrett did return and he was impressive on commentary on a stacked episode of NXT. However, Barrett isn't done with WWE.
The five-time Intercontinental Champion will return next week on the massive "Super Tuesday" episode. Notably, WWE added an official bio for Wade Barrett on its website. They also listed him under the active roster page, so his return doesn't seem like a one-time deal anymore.
