Here's a fun fact about 'injuries' in professional wrestling. The very art of pro-wrestling is based on showmanship and illusion, thereby making it incredibly difficult to gauge whether or not an injury that's been announced by the WWE is legitimate or a part of the ongoing storylines.

Ever since Rousey officially debuted as a WWE Superstar in January of last year, most of her detractors have time and again jumped the gun in a bid to brand her as an "unsafe worker" -- meaning that her critics often claim that Rousey legitimately injures her opponents.

While most other professional wrestlers often come out and shut down such rumors being spread about them, Rousey chooses to play along with most of these rumors about her being an "unsafe worker". This is a double-edged sword because by doing so, Rousey gives her detractors an opportunity to downgrade her work, but at the same time, she expertly maintains kayfabe.

To be honest, "The Doctor of Thuganomics" persona of John Cena would've most definitely called this a true "gangster" move by Ronda Rousey...
