#3: Austin Aries was released while injured

The WWE career of Austin Aries may go down as one of the biggest what-ifs in wrestling.

After years establishing his brand (including being a former Impact World Champion) Aries came to WWE in 2016, following fellow TNA alum like Samoa Joe, Bobby Roode and Eric Young.

But though he started hot in NXT, Aries was released the next year, as fans speculated that he had been frustrating backstage.

Though he cleared up that false rumor when he appeared on Talk is Jericho, Aries did reveal that the company released him whilst he was injured.

In WWE's defense, the company did allow Aries to continue rehabbing his injury with them after his release.

With that said though, releasing a popular Superstar whilst they are dealing with an injury is never a good look.
