The Greatest Royal Rumble
The Greatest Royal Rumble

We are only a couple of days away from the Greatest Royal Rumble event. The tickets are already sold out at the King Abdullah International Stadium and the superstars are geared up to rip the house down

The show is set to feature 7 championship matches and 3 non-title matches including the 50 men battle royal.

And as always speculations are high on the outcome of the matches on the card. Various sources might predict certain outcomes for the matches, but things could end up different.

WWE always throws swerve balls when the fans least anticipate it and the same could happen at the GRR. The results of the matches could prove to be shocking for the WWE universe.

With that said, let us look into the 5 Shocking twists WWE Can pull off at the Greatest Royal Rumble.

#5 The Miz and Jinder Mahal wins their championship matches.

The Miz and Jinder Mahal
The Championships could change brands.

Jinder Mahal took the US championship to Raw as a part of the 2018 superstar shake-up. He would then shockingly drop the title to Jeff Hardy on his first match on Raw.

Jeff Hardy would then get drafted to SmackDown Live and take the US title back to the blue brand.

The Miz, on the other hand, lost the Intercontinental Championship at WrestleMania 34. He got drafted to SmackDown Live on the superstar shake-up and will be looking to get back the title at the GRR.

The current scenario is that the Miz and Jinder Mahal will compete for the other brands' mid-card championship.

Now that the superstar shake-up is over fans will expect the current champions to retain. But WWE might have other plans and we can see the titles switch brands after the GRR.

Jinder Mahal and The Miz could win their respective matches and facilitate a championship shake-up.

#4 The Bar wins the Raw Tag Team Championships

The Bar
They don't just set the bar, they are the bar!

Sheamus and Cesaro lost the raw tag titles at WrestleMania 34 to Braun Strowman and Nicholas. The move came off as a shocker as Strowman's partner was a 10-year-old kid.

Strowman and Nicholas relinquished the titles the next night on Raw due to the latter's scheduling conflicts. This brought about a tag team eliminator tournament to discover who will face the bar for the titles at the GRR.

Woken Matt Hardy and Bray Wyatt won the tag team eliminator and will face the bar for the raw tag team titles at Jeddah.

Sheamus and Cesaro are now on SmackDown Live after getting drafted on the shake-up.

This might sound odd but we might see the bar reigning as the Raw Tag Team champions on SmackDown Live.

WWE might play out a storyline on Raw trying to get back their tag team titles from SmackDown. Or we could see the Bar return to Raw. Both options look equally good and we'll find out what transpires at the GRR.

#3 Triple H squashes John Cena.

HHH vs John Cena
2018 hasn't been too kind to John Cena.

Both John Cena and Triple H are fresh from defeat at WrestleMania 34. While Triple H lost his mixed tag team match, John Cena lost his match against the Undertaker.

The two legendary superstars will lock horns in traditional a one-on-one match at the GRR.

There is no proper story behind this match but this could be the perfect way to build towards a rematch between Cena and the Undertaker.

WWE could play out that Cena's defeat was due to him not getting over Undertaker beating him at WrestleMania.

John Cena's time with the WWE is coming to its conclusion and it is fitting for Cena to have his retirement match against the Undertaker.

#2 Dean Ambrose costs Seth Rollins the IC Title

Dean Ambrose
The Shield Brothers could turn foes.

Seth Rollins will defend his Intercontinental championship in a fatal four-way ladder match at the GRR. Samoa Joe, Finn Balor, and the Miz will look to take the title away from the architect.

As I said before, The Miz could win back the title at the GRR and take it to SmackDown Live. But how is he going to do that?

It is unlikely that WWE will have Rollins lose the title clean. Someone could be on their way to Saudi Arabia to cost Rollins the IC title.

That someone can be the "Lunatic Fringe" Dean Ambrose. He is out of action due to an untimely injury and it is possible that WWE can surprise the fans with an early comeback from Ambrose.

Ambrose was the one supposed to take on Rollins at WrestleMania 34 before he got injured. That feud might come to fruition if the Lunatic Fringe returns at the GRR.

#1 Brock Lesnar Retains Again.

Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar could shock the world once again!

Brock Lesnar shocked the WWE Universe when he retained the Universal Championship at WrestleMania 34.

It was widely believed that Roman Reigns will defeat Lesnar and win the championship. But Vince McMahon didn't like the reaction Reigns was getting and decided to have Lesnar retain the title.

Rumors say that Mr.McMahon wanted Reigns' championship win to be in front of a more receptive crowd.

Reigns will take on Lesnar in a steel cage match for the title and is expected to win the match. But once again WWE could throw the swerve ball and have Lesnar defeat Reigns once again.

The fans have made clear that they would prefer not to see Reigns overcome Lesnar for the championship.

If WWE decides to listen to the fans, they might have Lesnar retain the title at the GRR and drop it to someone else in the future.

Lesnar is just a few days away from beating CM Punk's 434-day record. It is possible that the beast would break Punk's record and extend his dominant title reign until he meets a capable challenger.
