5 Special Matches That Should Be Brought Back for WrestleMania 34

These special matches would light up WrestleMania if brought back

We're only a few hours away from what should be an absolutely splendid WrestleMania 34. The weekend has begun on a great note and WWE never fails to go all out at WrestleMania. Only minutes before the action unfolds from New Orleans, we bring you a slider! These special matches could have made WrestleMania feel quite special indeed.

This is not to take away from the current card. WrestleMania is more stacked than it has been in years. However, we believe that these matches could have added a whole new dimension to the proceedings.

We invite you to leave a comment. Which special match would you have liked to see at WrestleMania?

We humbly list out our entries.

#5 Sasha Banks vs. Bayley (Last Woman Standing Match)

Sasha Banks and Bayley have some unfinished business
Sasha Banks and Bayley have some unfinished business

This is a readymade feud that is sadly getting lost in the Women's Battle Royal. Sasha Banks and Bayley have proved their worth time and time again, from NXT to the main roster. After months of teasing dissension, they finally came to a head in the locker room area ahead of WrestleMania. Unfortunately, the two women will be part of a Battle Royal and nothing more.

In our opinion, they were worthy of a 'Last Woman Standing' match. Two incredible workers with great shared history, these two women could have torn the house down if given the opportunity to do so. They could have certainly taken each other to the absolute limit in this match.

Let's hope that WWE gives these two women a chance to have a full fledged feud after WrestleMania 34 is done. The women deserve a chance to tell their story.

#4 The Undertaker vs. John Cena (Retirement Match)

This stipulation would have added a whole new dimension to the match
This stipulation would have added a whole new dimension to the match

Every year, we speculate with regard to the in-ring status of The Undertaker before WrestleMania time. Every year, he does manage to come back and perform at varying levels of success. So much so, that we're almost used to the drill now. Adding a special stipulation to the John Cena vs. 'Taker match would have just made it a lot more special.

The stipulation- 'victory or retirement'. This is something that the WWE Universe can certainly buy into considering that both men have been on a part time schedule of late. Even if one of the performers was to actually 'retire' as the outcome of this match, we all know how easy it is to come back through a WWE storyline.

There's absolutely no motivation to watch the Undertaker vs. John Cena match otherwise. It's just two legends having a regular match and little more!

#3 The Miz vs. Finn Balor vs. Seth Rollins (Ladder Match)

Imagine what carnage these three men could do!
Imagine what carnage these three men could do!

The Intercontinental Championship and ladder matches somehow just go hand in hand, don't they? We can absolutely imagine Finn Balor, Seth Rollins and The Miz tearing the house down in a ladder match.

This match makes even more sense at WrestleMania as we've seen them perform on RAW in regular matches, in the past. A ladder match would have just taken things to another level.

There's a sense of crowning achievement when someone ascends the ladder to get the Intercontinental Championship. This feeling cannot be replicated with regular matches.

We suppose every Intercontinental Champion follows in the lineage of Shawn Michaels and Scott Hall.

#2 Kevin Owens & Sami Zayn vs. Daniel Bryan & Shane McMahon (street fight)

This match needed a few weapons to be more exciting
This match needed a few weapons to be more exciting

Yes, this is Daniel Bryan's big return match and one needs to be careful when he is around. At the same time, this feud just feels far too personal to just culminate in a tag team match alone. If anything, this is a feud that needed to go down with the swing of a few kendo sticks.

We earnestly believe this tag team match should have been a street fight. It would have raised the stakes considerably and made things a lot more exciting.

#1 Roman Reigns vs. Brock Lesnar (I Quit Match)

This should have been the final submission of The Beast
This should have been the final submission of The Beast

For a year, nobody seems to have gotten the better of Brock Lesnar. We all know that he's off to the UFC after this match. This should be The Beast's final humiliating and shocking defeat, in our opinion. Roman Reigns should make him say- 'I Quit', in the middle of the ring.

This is a match that will go last after seven whole hours of action. This is a prerequisite for it to hold the interest of the audience at the end of the proceedings. Especially after AJ Styles and Shinsuke Nakamura tear the house down, in yet another 'regular' match.

So here is our list. What do you think?
