While Sting is regarded as an icon in the world of professional wrestling, his WWE career did no justice to his reputation.
The Vigilante lost his debut match against Triple H at WrestleMania 31 and then went on to feud with Seth Rollins for the WWE Championship.
A more interesting fact, however, is that Seth Rollins was the only superstar from the modern crop to share a WWE ring with the Icon.
It's a damn shame that Stinger's career ended in unfortunate circumstances but it gave Seth Rollins a once in a lifetime opportunity to dance with his childhood hero.
The Architect competed in gruesome encounters with both John Cena and Sting at Night of Champions, and while he did lose the U.S. Championship, the 32-year old Superstar managed to walk out with the WWE Championship.
It's rather unfortunate that Rollins' turnbuckle powerbomb caused Sting a legitimate neck injury. However, the Architect not only defeated Sting but cemented his position as the only superstar from the New Era to share a WWE ring with the Icon.
