5 stars outside the WWE that we'd love to see wrestle Sasha Banks

The Boss!
The Boss!

At WrestleMania 35, Sasha Banks and Bayley came out on the losing end, dropping their newly won Women's Tag Team Championships to The IIconics, and several websites have reported in the days since that it wasn't taken too well by the Boss n Hug Connection.

The duo reportedly laid on the floor backstage at WrestleMania, voicing their displeasure with the company and the decision for them to drop the titles, and in the days since, The Boss has unfollowed WWE on Twitter and started following AEW.

There is a great possibility that this is all a work and a design for a much larger push for the former NXT and RAW Women's Champion, but we are going to look at the possibility, no matter how slim that The Boss does indeed walk away from the WWE.

While we believe The Boss will remain with WWE, this type of fantasy booking is always fun, so today we are going to take a look into the hypothetical and talk about 5 opponents that Sasha Banks should look to face if she does indeed walk away from the WWE.

#5 Mayu Iwatani

She is easily the best high-flying female outside of the WWE
She is easily the best high-flying female outside of the WWE

The Japanese have a long lineage of creating incredible professional wrestlers, and with Stardom becoming one of the best wrestling companies in the world, the women of Japan are making a mark worldwide.

Many will point to the likes of Asuka, Io Shirai, and Kairi Sane, but the most underrated to ever come from the Land of the Rising Sun is former Women of Honour Champion, Mayu Iwatani.

She is easily the best high-flying female outside of the WWE (arguably the world if not for former rival, NXT star Io Shirai), and that similar style would make this an incredibly epic encounter, and whether it hypothetically happens in Japan, ROH, or another company, it's one that people would pay a lot of money to see.

#4 Taya Valkyrie

Valkyrie is at her best when she's a heel
Valkyrie is at her best when she's a heel

Taya Valkyrie is the reigning Impact Knockout's Champion and is leading one of the most entertaining and underrated women's divisions in all of professional wrestling.

Valkyrie has made her living as a professional wrestler mostly down in Mexico, but has now joined her husband, Johnny Impact, with the company, and is proving to the rest of the world that she is one of the most underrated and greatest performers in the entire business.

Valkyrie is at her best when she's a heel, and while Sasha as The Boss is a great one too, she can also portray an underdog, and if these two characters were ever to clash, they'd make magic inside the ring.

While everyone points to AEW as Sasha's obvious landing spot (and they also have a talented female roster), Impact has plenty of stars of their own, and if The Boss wished to turn up in the former TNA to battle the likes of Valkyrie, Rosemary, Su Yung, and others, it would be amazing to see.

#3 Tessa Blanchard

Tessa has an amazing look, a great character, and is an amazing in-ring performer
Tessa has an amazing look, a great character, and is an amazing in-ring performer

When we talk about the best female wrestlers in the world, people are quick to point to the likes of Charlotte, Becky Lynch, Io Shirai, Toni Storm, Meiko Satumora, and even Banks herself, but one person who seriously needs to be considered in this spot is third generation star, Tessa Blanchard.

The daughter of Tully Blanchard, much like Charlotte, has spent a lot of time attempting to step out of her father's shadow, and while she's done that, she is very proud of her roots in professional wrestling.

Tessa has an amazing look, a great character, and is an amazing in-ring performer, all of the same traits that have made Sasha Banks the star she is today within the WWE.

Tessa has reportedly had the desire to head back to the WWE at some stage, but with so many companies doing great work outside of the biggest company in the world, Tessa has the ability to make a huge name for herself and leave a legacy of her own in wrestling, and a big-time feud with Sasha Banks would help that exponentially.

#2 Millie McKenzie

Known to her fans as 'Suplex Millie', the young prodigy wrestles a very hard-hitting style
Known to her fans as 'Suplex Millie', the young prodigy wrestles a very hard-hitting style

Millie McKenzie is one of the hottest young talents in the world right now, and despite the fact that she's only 18 years old, she is one of the most complete performers in the UK scene, and that's helped her branch out into Japan in recent times.

Known to her fans as 'Suplex Millie', the young prodigy wrestles a very hard-hitting style but isn't the most physically imposing performer, and she against Sasha Banks would be a stylistic clash that would make for a great encounter.

The most likely place for this encounter is Progress, and while the WWE is affiliated with the London based independent promotion, this is too big to pass up and would be first on many people's dream matches outside of the WWE.

If Sasha does stick with the WWE, this is likely the only match on the list that would happen under that barrier, as Millie has been linked to NXT UK in its early days, but no matter where it happens, it's one we'd all love to see.

#1 Jordynne Grace

Thick Mama Pump!
Thick Mama Pump!

Jordynne Grace is one of the most sought after female wrestlers in the entire world right now, as she has the look, the charisma, and the in-ring work to be considered one of (if not) the best in the world outside the WWE.

The current Impact star and reigning Progress Women's Champion goes by the mantra of 'Thick Mama Pump', and she certainly uses all of that strength advantage over her opponents in a bruising, dominating style.

A lot of rumors regarding Sasha Banks and her situation have speculated that AEW would be the most natural landing spot for her, but if she is to remain independent, then Grace should be #1 on her list of potential opponents.

In terms of style clash, this would make for a great match, as the underdog Sasha could fight from underneath against the dominant Grace, but either way, these two would put on a must-see match.
