Shane as WWE Champion is an actual possibility now
#2. Baron Corbin

Rollins and Corbin
This is perhaps the biggest head-scratcher so far. The WWE Universe has shown time and again that they aren't pleased with Corbin being in the spotlight. This got to the point that the McMahon family had to come out on an episode of Monday Night Raw and take control of the flagship show out of his hands, and promise the crowd that they will be the authority going forward.
Corbin was later chosen to be the one to retire Kurt Angle at WrestleMania 35 in the Olympic gold medalist's final WWE match. He is currently in a feud with WWE Universal Champion Seth Rollins, and is getting another title opportunity at Stomping Grounds after suffering a loss at the hands of Rollins at Super ShowDown.
Reportedly, Vince McMahon sees Corbin as a major main event player. If this is actually the case, the WWE Universe is in for a hard time going forward. This push doesn't make sense when there's someone like Drew McIntyre on the red brand, doing his best to grab the brass ring.

Given the opportunity to script WWE’s next big storyline, Abhilash would treat fans to the second installment of The Bloodline Civil War. He would book Roman Reigns to re-form The Bloodline with The Usos and Sami Zayn upon his comeback. The angle would see The Tribal Chief-led group go head-to-head with The Rock, Solo Sikoa, Tama Tonga, and Jacob Fatu in a blockbuster family feud.
