Triple H secured a significant win at the third edition of WWE Backlash when The Two-Man Power Trip defeated The Brothers of Destruction in a Winner Take All-match for the WWF Championship, Intercontinental title, and also the tag team belts. However, his overall record at the event is not up to the mark.

Triple H's six losses at WWE Backlash

Triple H suffered his first loss at this PPV in 2000 when The Rock defeated him to win the World title, even though The Game had Stephanie McMahon and Mr. McMahon in his corner. His next defeat came against Hollywood Hulk Hogan in another World title bout at WWE Backlash 2002.

In 2004, Chris Benoit overcame a challenge from Shawn Michaels and The Game to retain his World Heavyweight Championship in a triple threat match. A year later, Batista managed to slay The King of Kings.

The father of NXT added one more defeat to his tally at WWE Backlash 2006, with John Cena beating him and Edge to keep hold of his WWE title. His last match at this event (2009) ended in a loss as well, courtesy of Randy Orton, Cody Rhodes, and Ted DiBiase.
