Billy Gunn is perhaps best remembered by wrestling fans for his time as part of D-Generation X and The New Age Outlaws on WWE TV.
The WWE Hall of Famer was released from WWE back in 2015 after failing a Wellness Policy test and was later hired by All Elite Wrestling as a coach in 2019.

Despite this, Gunn went on to appear as an active talent for the company several times before it was announced that D-Generation X would be inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.

Even though Gunn was contracted to AEW at the time, he appeared at the WWE Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony back in April 2019 alongside Triple H, Shawn Michaels, X-Pac and Road Dogg.
It was as part of this induction that Triple H made the comment about AEW being a "pi** ant company" which created some waves online. Following the appearance, Gunn returned to AEW where he has continued to appear as an on-screen talent.
